Expand the capabilities of your shoe-mount flash with the 22 x 22" SPEEDBOX Basic Square S55 from SMDV. The softbox comes with a flash bracket and the unit pops open and assembles in minutes for quick and easy shooting, making it an excellent solution for location work. Ideal for portraiture, baby, table top, and small object product photography, the SPEEDBOX comes with a removable front diffuser and removable inner diffuser. The diffusers can be used together for maximum softening of the flash's output. Removing the inner diffuser will give you a more intense and specular light with higher contrast, while shedding the front and inner diffusers turns the inside of the silver-coated softbox into a large reflector with maximum brightness and contrast. The softbox shell is made from a rip-stop style nylon to minimize wear and tear, and a carry bag with shoulder strap for storage and transport is included.

Well built. Good price. The chroma key options are fun and can come in handy, if you ever need to use in compact situations... I really like the size and how you can fold into a small package after using. The folding part could be a little tricky on the first times, but nothing you won't be able to figure out. 5

These are excellent tools to have on either a video or photo shoot when the sun just doesn't want to cooperate. As a videographer, I can't control the weather and when I have to do a shoot outdoors, it's really at a time/place of my choosing. So when it's overcast and your talent isn't lit well enough, then using the silver reflector below the talent and bouncing the available light back up at them might make all the difference in the world...from an amateur shot to a pro shot. 5
