The Celestron Narrow Dovetail Bar Kit allows you to replace the wider CGE (Losmandy-style) dovetail bar that comes with most Celestron 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD optical tube assemblies (OTAs) with a narrow dovetail to allow them to be used on mounts that accept the narrower CG-5 (Vixen-style) bar. It comes with a pre-drilled mounting hole pattern that matches the OTA's mounting holes, along with a complete mounting hardware kit. The bar is made of aluminum and treated with a scratch-resistant anodized finish in the iconic Celestron orange color. The bar is 17" long and weighs just 13 ounces. To avoid damage to delicate gears and/or motors, check the payload capacity of your mount to make sure it can carry the weight of the OTA before installing it.
