A: Currently we only host drivers for Windows 10/11 and do not have any drivers for Linux. At this time our Wi-Fi 6 adapter is only compatible with Windows operating systems.

A: There is no way to paste a pic here. The units are built into a case that B&H sells, and the entire setup has over 2500 miles of road trip with no issues. In fact all the items are from B&H.

A: CF card is a must , and this is only compatible with Canon 5DS/ 5DSR and Canon 7D II

A: It will set the camera on live mode and you will see the output on your phone/tablet.

Q: 5. I was just on Canon's web site and saw the 7d ii proved at $1499 and saw the 7d ii w/wifi for $1849. Why the extra $350 if the only thing I need to make my 7d ii a wifi device is the $40 wifi adaptor card? Am I missing something or is there something else I need to make it a wifi device in addition to $40 wifi card?

A: Looking at Canon's site, it looks like the $1849 kit includes the 18-135mm STM lens. Not sure on the wifi card, but that would explain the price difference.

A: No. You can only record to SD card.

A: The W-E1 does not allow for remote viewing while video recording. From the Canon Digital Learning Center: Video recording must be completely stopped, and the camera switched out of video recording mode altogether, before Wi-Fi communication with mobile devices can be performed.

A: Canon indicates it will work in three and only three camera bodies:This Wi-Fi adapter must be installed into the SD card slot of the host camera again, an EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 5DS, or 5DS R. These are the only Canon EOS cameras, as of the introduction of the W-E1, that will be compatible.The host camera requires a firmware upgrade, available free from Canon web sites, to enable communication with the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1. This adds new menu items for the wireless features added by this accessory card. (EOS 7D Mark II cameras sold with the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 included in the box will have this firmware factory-installed, so no upgrade is needed for those cameras to enable wireless operation. And, beginning in Fall of 2016, newly-made EOS 5DS and 5DS R cameras will roll off the production line with this firmware also factory-installed.)A very important note: the W-E1 card cannot store image files at all. It solely contains the hardware to perform wireless connection to compatible external devices.
