I needed a small and sturdy tripod for my mirrorless camera that I could carry in my camera bag. The PIXI Mini Table Top tripod is well made and surprisingly very strong. I would recommend this to anyone needing a small tripod for shooting from a table top or similar surface. 5

This lightweight Manfrotto mini tripod is just right for my small LUMIX travel camera. My main use will be for taking group photos where I need to compose the shot and then set the timer so I can also be in the shot. As others have said, the ball head has a limited range of motion in altitude beyond horizontal, but that doesn't affect my needs. But the ball itself has some small latitudinal grooves that provide a very solid footing for wherever you position the camera. 5

There are times when I need my super cool $600 tripod and then there are times when I need something 'less'. In this latter times, this tabletop tripod serves my needs well. It's sturdy, well built, easily compatible and reasonably priced. 5

I use PocketWizard Flex TT5 remote flash triggers to group my four Nikon SB-700 flashes together for outdoor photoshoots. But I frequently find myself having to precariously balance them on some Branch or the ground - etc. These little lightweight - small tripods are perfect for holding these flash units. Super easy to pack in and then attach to my PocketWizard TT5 remotes. They work perfectly and are inexpensive and the way to go. Weight and size really matter when you need to pack things in. One suggestion would be to make the legs shift independent so you can set up on the uneven ground - like a hill - Like one leg out and the other two down 5
