The JL Cooper Eclipse TX Midnight Compact Transport Controller is a tactile control surface designed for video editing applications such as Apple Color and Final Cut Studio. It is intended to operate with the Eclipse SX Midnight to add transport control to the unit. The Eclipse TX Midnight adds Jog/Shuttle control, transport buttons, eight function buttons, eight page buttons, and seven miscellaneous buttons to the Eclipse SX Midnight. It connects to the Eclipse SX Midnight via a 4-pin expander cable which carries data and power to and from the Eclipse TX Midnight.

A: This unit has a metal shoe that can cause issues with the Sony shoe. It would be best to use a transmitter like the Godox XPro that has a plastic for specifically made for Sony shoes.

A: JLCooper unfortunately does not recommend compatibility for Blackmagic Hyperdeck units, with the JLCooper SloMo Elite-C Controller with Jog/Shuttle Wheel, at this time.

A: The transmitter is compatible with both the YN685 and the YN560, but you may have to do firmware updates.

Q: 4. Thank you once again.What if I connect both speedlights on a flash trigger like Yongnuo RF-603C II.Would I still need to do the firmware update?

A: For the best performance, it is best to update the firmware for this products.

Q: 8. Anyone know how the YN560TX-Pro must be configured? It is suppose to work as a YN622TX, but I cant get it to work with the YN685 in Ttl 622 remote mode. Manual says to upgrade firmware, but the pc program from the webpage is not detecting the YN560TX-Pro and the flash YN685 can only be upgraded via wireless from the transmitter connected to the pc. Is the update still not out or do I have to put some special configuration on my pc? What flash models are confirmed to work with this controller in ETTL?

A: The device is compatible with YN200 and YN862-series Speedlites and the 560/660/720/860/603/605 triggers.

Controler operates ittl flash metering. Well built no problems found. It takes the running to your remote flash for adjustments. It must be used with the yn622n trigger to work ! Recommend to a friend works great. 5

I use this along with the 622N (non-LCD transceivers) on my Nikon system. I use it with a D750 and D800 and SB910, SB900, Bolt, and other generic speedlights. It is very easy to use and controls everything from camera position, including flash head zoom, when you have TTL compatible flashes. Other reviewer stated he could not control the flash, only trigger it, and this is true if you do not have a full TTL compatible flash system to begin with. I also love that it handles HSS very well and transitions seamlessly to HSS range without any user adjustments. It just works. Again, you must be using a flash system that supports high-speed sync for this to work. It basically mimics whatever you can do with your flash system on camera. The only issue I've encounter after at least a year of professional use is that it will occasionally non-fire when around heavy concrete or brick structures and it is around a blind corner. However, this is true with ALL radio transceiver systems that I have used which is most of them. 5

Good cheaper substitute, if compared to original Nikon products (but not super cheap to make it virtually worthless); the downside of this item is that instructions are not clearly written and I had to go online to search for other users with my same issues, such as the manual command that doesn't appear on the Nikon flash - but it DOES operate in manual: it was not too clear on the instructions and written very little. I went online and found the answer to my issue. The product DOES work well, it's more a matter of clear explanation. 5

I wanted these triggers/receivers not only to work in manual and iTTL with my off-camera flash(s), but also to use Super Sync which allows me to shoot much faster than my 1/200th of a second sync speed. I have used Super Sync with speedlights and Alien Bee B800 and B1600 monolights. Yes, it works with those given some fine tuning and when using the YN-622N as receivers. Bottom line, these trigger is affordable, durable enough and it works well. 5

AS soon as I got them I updated the firmware by following a video I found on You Tube. I also download the manual from the same site witch is much easier to read then the little manual shipped with product. Set controller to group and zone of your choice. There work great!!! 5
