Q: 4. Will this lens work with canon c100's dual pixel AF?

A: The only lenses that are certified by Canon to work with the Dual Pixal AF system are Canon lenses. It may work, but not perfectly. It really is something you'd need to test out to see. Q: 8. What's the difference between the G2 and the earlier version? Is the G2 worth the extra money?

A: Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I haven't had time to shoot with the G2 until today. Used it at my son's baseball game and then a birthday party. Fantastic lens. Had the version 1 for about a week and just didn't like it. The G2 is metal construction rather than plastic. It focuses fast. Maybe not as fast as the Canon 70-200 L that I was borrowing but fast enough. And super sharp! I was borrowing the 70-200 version 1 from a friend and this thing blows it out of the water. The canon version 2 may be much better than the v1 but I've never shot the v2 on the canon. I think the upgrades are completely worth putting into the G2. So glad I got it.

Q: 9. Will this lens work on a Nikon D800 body?

A: Yes, the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 for Nikon F is fully compatible with the Nikon D800 body.

A: The Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Canon EF is a good lens to use with the Canon T7.

It is one of the best 70-200mm that money can buy, and the price cannot be beat, the only catch is that it is quite a heavy lens. If you are okay with that, don’t hesitate to purchase. Good job Tamron!

I purchased this lens to pair with my Nikon D500 for shooting high school and college sports. I exclusively used it this past season to photograph tennis at some of the local schools. Paired with the D500 the focus is fast and spot on. Tennis is a fast moving game where the players are constantly moving, changing direction, and swinging a racket at a little yellow ball. The auto focus system gets a workout and has never let me down. I constantly shoot wide open trying to isolate the players from tons of background distractions such as signs, fencing, and even spectators. The pictures are consistently sharp throughout the focal range in harsh lighting conditions. My only regret with this lens is I didn't buy it sooner. At less than half the price of the Nikon 70-200, it's a no brainer. Don't make the same mistake I did and just get it!

The build quality is great, the clarity is fantastic, and the image stabilization is unparalleled, even compared to the Nikkor VRIII at almost a 3 times of the price.....LOVE IT.....

Ive only used this in about 3-4 sessions yet, but the quality is beautiful.  I am still getting used to the auto noise reduction behavior, but its worth it when youre holding a heavy lens around 200 shutter speed.

The build quality is pretty good too.  The only thing i did not like was the zoom ring was farthest away from camera, however new Nikon has it the same way.  The metal is easy to scratch so get a cover for the lens body.  Also get a decent quality clear filter to protect the glass.
