The included AC charging cable plugs directly into the charger and then to the wall, but you also have the option of DC charging via the car adapter, which is sold separately. During the charging process, the LCD screen displays the battery type, the voltage, the status, and the time remaining for the battery to fully charge. The smart charger has built-in protection against over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit, and reverse-polarity. Push the control button above each bay to cycle through the battery information on the screen or turn the screen on or off by holding the button down for longer.

I have bought three of these -- they have worked nicely charging 16340 (mainly Plight and Fenix) and 18650 (Olight, Fenix, and Surefire) cells including IMR 16340 cells. The display is nice bright and early to read. On the lastest one I purchased, the channel s differ on their estimation of the charge level of cells and when the cells are fully charged, but the difference is minor.
