Tiffen 5 X 5" 2 Tropic Blue Soft-edge Graduated Filter

The Tiffen 5 x 5" 2 Tropic Blue Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a cool, greenish-blue coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less tropic blue coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.
This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 5 x 5" / 127 x 127mm.

Q: 1. Question, I have a Sanyo VPC-E2100 and i'm considering getting a polarizer or UV filter, what would be a good size for it since it's 25mm wide or 4.594.5mm?
A: I use a UV filter as a general practice filtering and protection of my lens Canon 24-105 77 mm which is a very expensive lens. Then I use a 77mm Tiffen circular on top of it which works well for bright reflections or water photography.Hope this helps.Bob D
Q: 2. Can it type a 285 lb scuba diver? If so how long?
A: The Nautica GUPPY Seascooter (Navy & Tropic Orange) has a run time of 90 minutes, though run time may vary a little. The Nautica GUPPY Seascooter (Navy & Tropic Orange) should be able to pull a 285lb person.
Q: 3. fit AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm?
A: Michael, Thanks for the question! If we are examining the correct lens described above, yes, that lens will accept 77mm sized filters.
Q: 4. I have a nikon 28-70mm lens but my question is whether this type of filter can be used on my lens? please reply
A: Hello. I am a canon user so I am not positive but yes I believe the Nikon lens you mentioned is 77mm and will be able to use this filter. If you look at the lens (usually the face near the front end) you will see a number like 67mm, 77mm etc ... if the lens reads 77mm you will be able to screw this filter on.
Q: 5. Can this filter be used on a Tamron 18-270 lens?
A: It would depend on the model of the Tamron 18-270mm lens you own as to whether the above filter will work on your lens. Tamron has manufactured two (2) versions of the 18-270mm lens, the older, discontinued model using 72mm filters, and the current model using the smaller 62mm filters. The best I can recommend is if you have your lens cap, look on the inside of the lens cap to see if the lens cap/filter thread size is listed inside the lens cap. Otherwise, if you can give us the full name or B&H number of the lens you own (or write all information on the lens itself), we would then be able to identify which filter thread size your lens needs.
Q: 6. What is the possibility of vignetting with this lens if I use a 18-55 or 18-200 mm lens?
A: When these lenses are used on cropped sensor cameras, there should not be any vignetting. If this filter is attached on top of a UV filter, then there may be some vignetting at 18 mm.
Q: 7. How many wtts is it?
A: The Nautica GUPPY Seascooter (Navy & Tropic Orange) runs on 19W.
Q: 8. What is the difference between the coarse thread filter and the regular circular polarizing filter?
A: Tiffen coarse thread filters have a 1.0 pitch, while the majority of filters have a 0.75 pitch. Thread pitch is the distance between the same point on adjacent threads of a screw, so a larger number means a more coarse thread, while a smaller number means a finer thread.
Q: 9. Heatsink necessary?
A: The WD 2TB Blue SN570 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD would not require a heatsink.
Q: 10. Will the Lee filter system work with this filter attached?
A: Yes you can use that filter on a lens and use most of the Lee filter holders. You just need the correct 77mm lens adapter.
