The illuminator allows for remote control via a network connection, simplifying setup, operation, and maintenance.

The integrated web interface facilitates response to live events in real time, allowing you to control lights individually or in groups. It also provides a host of advanced programmable settings and diagnostic tools.

The web interface's user-defined settings enable you to tailor the illuminator to the exact demands of your installation.

The VARIO2 IP provides a dedicated API for seamless integration into third-party technology platforms such as VMS, BMS, and access control systems.

HTTP commands can be used to control the VARIO2 IP illuminator from any network-enabled device.

The VARIO2 pairs Platinum Elite SMT LED technology with the Cool Running thermal management system for flexible and reliable performance.

The angle of illumination can be easily, quickly, and precisely adjusted by changing the VARIO holographic lens insert to match your camera's field of view.

Hot-Spot Reduction Technology (HRT) produces a highly diffused elliptical beam to deliver more light where it is needed, maximizing the illumination range and minimizing light wastage. HRT also prevents overexposure of foreground objects.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will multiple access points allow for seamless roaming within the covered area?

A: Yes, that's the whole philosophy behind UniFi. A suite of UniFi APs, that can include mixed models and mixed generations, properly configured by a common Controller, allows seamless roaming across overlapping AP coverage areas.

Q: 2. How long is the POE cable which connects this Unifi unit to the POE adapter?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-LR-US 802.11ac Long Range Access Point BH #UBUAPACLRUS does not include any Ethernet cables. If you are referring to the power cord for the PoE injector, it is approximately 1.5'.

Q: 3. How many are needed for a 6,000 sq ft business building?

A: The quantity of Access points vary depending on the layout and the building structure.

Q: 4. Does the single pack come with a Gigabit or Fast Ethernet PoE adapter?

A: I may have found it myself. In the datasheet it shows they're shipped with a 24V, 0.5A Gigabit PoE Adapter.

Q: 5. Will this work better with a cardioid lav or an omni lav?

A: The Sound Shark SS1 Long-Range Dish is intended for use with an omnidirectional lavalier microphone.

Q: 6. I'd like to know how you can get up to 3000 Mb/s when the ethernet port is only 1000 Mb/s?

A: They are talking about wireless throughput which is broken down in two bands. 3000 Mb/s Total 5 GHz: 2400 Mb/s 2.4 GHz: 600 Mb/s You would not get 3000Mbps of internet speed. You could only get up to 1Gbps internet speed when using 5Ghz. The rest would just be more available bandwidth for local networking.

Q: 7. is a PoE power injector included with the U6-LR UniFi 6 AX3000 AP unit?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks U6-LR UniFi 6 AX3000 Long-Range Access Point does not include a power adapter.

Q: 8. Are the new AP's compatible with the legacy AP's on the same network?

A: Yes, The new AP's will be backwards compatible with the older units on the same network.

Q: 9. how do I turn off flashing lights on the exterior of the unit?

A: I am not seeing the ability to deactivate the LEDs short of physically covering them up.

Q: 10. Can I use this unit without the controller software running at all times?

A: Yes, the controller should be used only when sending settings to the unit. At my home, the controller is almost never used.

I setup 2 of these in a larger house. There is one in the front corner of the house and another one in the back corner. The second unit is setup as an Island AP (wireless uplink to the wired AP). I am then able to walk almost 400 feet from that AP and still get outstanding ping times and great speed test results. The whole property is covered and is about 4 acres! Please note that the 2.4GHz is for the longer range. The 5GHz does not go nearly as far. Also you must use their 24volt power injectors as they are not standard PoE (they are included).

This is my 2nd AC-LR so I already knew how simple it was to setup. Based of other B&H reviews I was expecting older stock but was surprised to receive a newer model that works off POE or POE+.

Great AP! Especially for the low price! I picked up three of these to cover a large house and outside workshop. Excellent coverage. The controller software is amazing and easy to use. Pair this with a USG Router from UniFi and some of their switches and it shows you amazing detail.

I have waited a long time to write this review, so here goes :) My quest to improve my home network started when our pitiful 1.5 Mbps DSL connection was upgraded to 40 Mbps fiber. As part of the install, we purchased a CenturyLink C2100T modem which I have to say is pretty dang good considering that is equiptment provided by the telco. In fact, the CenturyLink modem seems to have a stronger 5G radio that the Ubiquiti! The problem is that it is very unattractive and to really get a good signal, you need to have several access points and/or mount your access point(s) high and free from obstruction. You heard me, do not purchase this unless you plan to mount it...preferably on the ceiling! This does take work, but it is worth it. I started out by plugging the Ubiquiti in from the basement, where the CenturyLink modem was. On the ground floor of the house I did get some signal, but was noticably improved when I ran cable up through the basement ceiling and set it on my dresser. Mounting it in the ceiling did take work as I had to pull the cable through my closet and drill a hole in my 90 year old plaster ceiling. I probably went a little overboard and mounted an electical box in the attic as well so I could seal up the hole to prevent a draft. Now moving the unit from on top of the dresser to the ceiling again improve receiption. Each move, from the basement, to on top of the dresser, to ceiling mounted basically got me an extra bar :) Now from anywhere in the house, I can get pretty much full speed internet over WiFi which is pretty impressive considering that I have plaster walls. Although I do have to say that ping times seem better when connected to the 5G radio and there are places in the house where the 5G radio is not super strong. At some point I may install a second unit to improve this, but for now I am super happy. No more wires :) Awesome internet connection. All of my devices are happy. You should get one (or two) Ubiquiti products today!

1st - Great price 2nd - Quick FREE Delivery ( no tax ) 3rd - Setup the UAP-AC--LR with the iPhone app. 4th - found the best location in the house for best coverage\ Ceiling Mount 5th - streaming Netflix (via my Roku3)last episode of house of cards and a glass of vino. 1.5 weeks without a burp. My only remarks cautions are that it should have came with a paperclip type of tool to remove the AP from its ceiling mount. ( used a thin paper clip to remove) ****Read the instructions on the Web site on how to upgrade the firmware before you install.* ** Be aware that it does not set up via a web page - You have to use the IPhone App or download the free controller software from Unifi.. // If you intend to purchase and set up 2 or more AP's at the same site, Download and install the free controller software first so more comprehensive control and flexibility can be yours //

This (along with other ubiquiti products I've used) is amazing. There's one drawback I'll mention in a moment, but it's the most reliable AP I've used and continually has the highest data transfer speeds, best range (long range models or not), and least downtime of any wireless AP I've used. It's easily the most easy system to use if you plan to add more wireless AP's regularly. The quality and features of this are on par with most (and exceed some) other commercial/enterprise grade comparable products that are 2-10 times more expensive. The only drawback is it has a unique management feature that is unlike all others. It's not the end of the world, but it is different enough it can be annoying for some users who just want to plug it in and use a browser to set it up real quick and move on. If you don't mind getting their management utility, it's hands down my favorite AP out there. Also, their support guys are the best. Worked with them a couple times on an old product when it was first released and with beta software.
