The FotodioX 145mm UV Filter is a general use, clear filter that is compatible with the FotodioX WonderPana 145, FreeArc, and Absolute filter holder systems. It is designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter.

This filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features a lightweight, aluminum-alloy filter ring. The filter ring includes a brass side knob that provides increased leverage when mounting or unmounting the FotodioX 145mm UV Filter.

This UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave over lenses at all times. Such filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Q: 1. Will this work well on the bmpcc4k?

A: Yes. This is a great compact choice for the BMPCC4K.

A: Yes it works good. It is also the lens used on the bmpcc package. I have that one and the panasonic 14-35. A zoom lens.

A: No, the FotodioX WonderPana 145 Core Unit Kit for Rokinon/Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 RF/FE does not fit onto the Rokinon DSX 14mm EF-Mount cinema lens.

Q: 4. What is the difference between the ASPH and ASPH II?

A: As far as I have been able to tell; one is grey and the other is black. I've been using the first for awhile now and it lives on my e-m1. I grabbed an ASPH II for my brother's e-m5 this Christmas. Optically we haven't been able to find any difference, my sensor is definitely dirtier though. Personally I think the black looks better but that just might be because I like to pretend I'm a ninja.

Q: 5. Is this lens suitable for indoor and real estate video?

A: I use this to photograph vehicles and it works perfectly. I've also some some interior shots in homes and I love that it doesn't give a warped perspective. I'd say it would be great for real estate.

Q: 6. With these lens', is it possible to remove the lens itself and replace it with another? For example, take out the UV/CPL/ND8 lens and replace it with a 53mm underwater lens? Rather than buying a completely new WonderPana Underwater kit?

A: The filters contained in the B&H # FOWP145UWK Underwater filter kit are compatible with the kit B&H # FOWP145GOK. They are the same 53mm thread size.

Q: 7. I guess camera built-in image correction for jpegs won't work on Olympus? How about lens correction in Lightroom - is there a LR profile? How does that work? Can you apply a Panasonic profile to an image shot on Olympus?

A: Absolutely , you can apply LR profile lenses to any image you shoot if the specific lens profile is available in the LR database.

Q: 8. How is the distortion with this lens?

A: I haven't used it that much, but I did not notice and distortion when I have used it.

Q: 9. Can this be used with this lens Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 RF Lens for Canon RF ?

A: No, the Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Canon EF cannot work with this Fotodiox accessory.

Q: 10. The specs state that it is an auto-focus lens. Can you focus manually if needed?

A: Yeah the manual focus works great!

Got it for street photography. Bigger (thicker) than I thought (same thickness as kit lens 12-32mm when not extended). Guess it's more discrete since it's not extending out as zoom lens. Love the focal length. If you are looking for bokeh, try Lumix Leica 15mm f1.7 (twice thick) instead. Fast focusing (not amazing, though) and pretty sharp images. Love it. 5

At less than 2 ounces it is like it floats. Great depth of field for landscapes. I had to add a lens hood and extra weight to get a balance on my 3 axis gimbal. 5

Bought this pancake for my GH5 strictly for use on my gimbal. It has by far been the most consistent producer for using on the GH5 as far as the camera's autofocus is concerned. GH5's autofocus is notorious for being unreliable. Sometimes it works fantastic. Other times it develops an astigmatism and wanders for no reason. I've found the Lumix line of lenses are the most consistent on using the face recognition and keeping that face in focus when you are using a gimbal. Combine that with the wide angle of the 14 mm, I have been satisfied with the footage I have been able to get pairing this lens with the GH5 body. 5

Read some mixed reviews about this lens, I'm using it on my G85 and bought it to carry a lighter setup that would work on the Zhiyun Crane-M2 Gimbal. So far its been perfect! I've also tested it handheld at night and even though I was pushing my ISO to 1600 the it did a really good job at f2.5. 5

This lens is totally underrated. Very sharp and fast focus. Great lens for Pen F, GX85 or GX9. Put a filter to protect it and no need for lens cap. 28mm is a perfect field of view. 5

I use this lens for taking photos in small rooms or areas that I need to be close to the subject but want to include more in the backdrop. I also use this as my webcam lens on my GH5 and it sits about 2 feet away from me with an overall great picture. The lens is very light and feels like plastic but works well. Very pleased! 5

This is a compact, lightweight lens that produces excellent images. I use it on my Olympus Pen F for inconspicuous street shooting, and as a general wide-angle on my E-M5II. I'd like a shallow lens shade for it, but otherwise I'm happy. The cleaning kit is a nice extra, carried in a pouch that I'll find a use for once the products are used up. 5

Purchased specifically for use with my Panasonic GM1, I couldn't be happier. A small, barely there pancake lens with amazing performance. I wanted a small prime lens to use as a general purpose walk-about lens and this certainly fits the bill. Highly recommended. 5
