The FotodioX 145mm UV Filter is a general use, clear filter that is compatible with the FotodioX WonderPana 145, FreeArc, and Absolute filter holder systems. It is designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter.

This filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features a lightweight, aluminum-alloy filter ring. The filter ring includes a brass side knob that provides increased leverage when mounting or unmounting the FotodioX 145mm UV Filter.

This UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave over lenses at all times. Such filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens work with the D800? Looking to do family beach photos

A: Although this lens will physically fit, it is a DX lens that was designed for cropped sensor cameras. If used on the D800 there would be vignetting. The D800 is a full frame sensor camera and FX lenses should be used.

Q: 2. will this lens work with the nikon d500 or nikon d780?

A: These are the cameras the Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 DX AF Fisheye Lens for Nikon F is compatible with: Nikon D500 Nikon D7100 Nikon D7500 Nikon D750 Nikon D7200

Q: 3. With these lens', is it possible to remove the lens itself and replace it with another? For example, take out the UV/CPL/ND8 lens and replace it with a 53mm underwater lens? Rather than buying a completely new WonderPana Underwater kit?

A: The filters contained in the B&H # FOWP145UWK Underwater filter kit are compatible with the kit B&H # FOWP145GOK. They are the same 53mm thread size.

Q: 4. is this lens compaitble with my black magic 6k? If so, how much crop can I expect?

A: This is an EF-mount APS-C/Super35mm format lens. Used on your BMPCC6k and depending on the resolution you use, you would have a minimum of 1.558x crop factor (using 6K full sensor readout), meaning this would be a 15.58mm-26.49mm equivalent lens.

Q: 5. This len is compatible with nikon D7200?

A: Yes, it is.

Q: 6. Does this provide a 180-degree diagonal field of view for a Canon APS-C sensor?

A: When the Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 AF DX Fisheye Lens for Canon is zoomed at 10mm it does give you a 180-degree diagonal field of view on a Canon APS-C sensor camera.

Q: 7. Does this lens provide a circular fisheye on a full-frame sensor?

A: The Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 AF DX Fisheye Lens for Canon would not give a circular fisheye on a full frame. At 10mm the lens hood is visible in the image when used on a full frame camera. Once zoomed to 15mm the hood is no longer visible.

Q: 8. Is the lens hood removable?

A: No the lens hood is not removable

Q: 9. Have yet to begin learning post production with Photoshop Lightroom CC. Is this lens in particular included in those programs for distortion correction?

A: Yes, there are profiles available for the 10-17mm lens in Photoshop Lightroom

Q: 10. Will this lens auto focus on a Nikon D300?

A: Yes, it will autofocus on the D300. The D300 does not have any focus restrictions or special requirements. It will autofocus with any autofocus lenses made by Nikon or for the Nikon AF system by other manufacturers.

I bought this lens to use for underwater photography. It's a great wide-angle lens if you can get close enough to your subject (otherwise the subject looks too far away). I'm amazed by how much of the scene fits in the frame! Also, I love how compact it is.

I always wanted a Fisheye lens but could not afford the Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye, so on a recent holiday to NYC, I bought this from B&H. I LOVE THIS LENS!! It came in so useful during my holiday because lets face it, NYC needs a fisheye lens to get everything in the photograph plus looks kinda cool! The thing I love with this, is at 10mm you get the full on 180 degree fisheye experience and at 17mm it's only slighty curved but wide enough to still fit a lot in frame. Build quality is really good. feels solid & expensive, well built with a bit of weight to it. It does not feel at all cheap and plasticky, in fact it survived 8 days of being thrown in and out of my backpack whilst stomping all around NYC. Its my best purchase so far! (apart from my D300s)

First off i wouldn't pay too much attention to the below avg. reviews from the people below who take surf photography in Denver? this is my 2nd 10-17(1st one stolen) so had to replace this right away. very fun lens all around but if you do any serious water photography it is a must have. Most housing companies have also formed a port specifically for the Tokina to assist you with any surf or dive photography. I considered Canon 15mm but decided after some reviews to just stick w/ the one I was already happy with. It is NOT for every scenario or photographer and can get a bit limited, but if you want to get a Surf,Skate,or Dive Magazine cover, then this lens will catch that for you on your 1st go!!!!

The feel is great, you can tell it's made with a high standard of quality. A fun and extremely useful lens for your bag, goes from a playful fisheye look to a un-distorted super-wide angle with a simple zoom.
