Cardellini End Clamp
- Product Code: ga66243
-
This End Clamp by Cardellini can grip round, square, and rectangular tubing up to 2" in diameter, and it is gentle enough to hold brittle objects like mirrors, glass, or fragile props. Use it to mount lights on pipes, set walls, pieces of lumber, car rigs, drop ceilings, and more.
A set of quick-spin knobs makes it faster and easier to set and release this clamp, and it features replaceable rubber pads on the inside of its 3" jaws that assist with grip and protect surfaces from scratches. The durably designed shaft has a length of 7", and the threads are resistant to the kind of dings and damage that can impede smooth operation. Weighing only 20 oz, this clamp's strength-to-weight ratio makes it suitable for mobile applications.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. I could I use it with a pole? I want to put my flash at there, what weight could I use over it ?
A: The center jaw could be used to hold a flash to a pipe.
Q: 2. What is the depth of this rail?
A: The depth of this rail is approximately 1/2"
Q: 3. What is the width of grips?
A: The Matthews Matthellini Clamp offers a 4 inch wide handle.
Q: 4. How about the spec of thread of those screw holes on the end of rail? I would like to mount RRS PCLR clamp on end as a vertical nodal slide of my DIY multi-row pano nodal slide gear.
A: Screw holes are 1/4-20".
Q: 5. How longer is the metal rod/stud (I dont know the proper word for it, hope you understand what I mean)?
A: The following unit comes in at 5 inches.
Q: 6. What is the OVERALL length end-to-end?...and, what is the size of the OPEN jaw, i.e.., what size object can the open jaw accommodate?
A: The actual post is about 8 (inches) long. The bottom half of the clamp to the top of the post is 5 long. Within the clamp jaws you could fit a 3 1/4 item. I wouldn't go larger than 3 though. I use it to hold boom poles on C clamps. Works great!
Q: 7. Has anyone used these with the Scrim Jim Cine frame for attaching to a C-Stand or something similar (which is the new iteration of scrim jim)? Any thoughts? Thank you!
A: I use them for this purpose and they work great.
Q: 8. Hi, help me understand whether that rail could be used for macro / close-up shots. I understood it's only adjustment of camera's position height relatively to object photographed (instead of extending the tripod's central column). Right?
A: It could technically be used for macro photography, the difference between this and an actual macro head is that a macro head has a knob that can mm by mm move the camera forward or backward to make precise adjustments. If you use this, it has the markings of where you need to move it to, but it doesn't have the knob to make the micro adjustments.
Q: 9. The Cardellini website lists the shaft length of this item as 11", not 13" as stated here. Which is correct?
A: The total length of the Cardlini is 11"the rod length is 9"
Q: 10. How do I remove the pin in the clamp so I can remove it and add the extender?
A: I’m not sure what pin you are talking about, but the extenders I am familiar with just clamp onto the end. You may have one of the Matthellini clamps that are configured different. There are about 3 or 4 different Mattellini clamp versions. I have found that sometimes you have to use a short one with an extension to make it work for what I want to do. I have 3 or 4 clamps in different sizes and they are each made different, so many times I try different combinations until I find what works best. They work great and are very solid unlike some clamps that have their use but move regardless of how much you tighten them
