Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this perforated?

A: The Kodak 2383 VISION Color Print Film Roll (70mm, 2500') has sprocket holes.

Q: 2. Is it ok to store the film in the fridge for like 9 months after it’s already exposed and then develop it? Will it be effected?

A: You can certainly keep film in the fridge, exposed or unexposed, but I don't know that I would wait 9 months to have it developed. The sooner the better.

Q: 3. What is the expiration date?

A: Typically the expiration date is about a year from purchase.

Q: 4. Which Chemical Development Process is this film stock designed to use? (ie ECN-2, C-41, etc?)

A: You have several options to choose from for Kodak VISION 35mm Color Print 2383 Film: it is safe for processing in Standard C-41 Lab Processors or ECP-2D processing. The film can also be processed in standard black and white developers and fixers.

Q: 5. What is the developing process for this film? Is it E6? Can it be cross processed as c41?

A: The developing process for the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Reversal Film 5294 (35mm, 400' Roll) is E6.

Q: 6. What is the length of one reel?

A: 2000 ft.

Q: 7. What is the weight of the film package ?

A: The Kodak VISION Color Print Film 2383 (70mm, 2500' Roll) weighs approximately 27 lb.

Q: 8. expiration date?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 9. What's the iso?

A: This film is print film used in a movie film lab. It is not for a camera. The ISO is variable and this is the tech specifications on it, https://bit.ly/3ciXQHa .

Q: 10. What is the process for this film in order to develope it?

Gold is excellent. 200 ISO won't exactly be night shooting friendly (does Kodak even put out reciprocity failure guidelines for this?), but gives you a bit more flexibility than 100 ISO. Very much a daylight film - expect it to accent yellows a bit more.

When I want to do just some walk-around shooting, this is a frequent choice. Reasonably priced. Predictable results. Nice in-between ISO. And, I actually like the 24-exposures vs 36 because I don’t always shoot that 36 frames on an outing, so I don’t have to leave the film sitting around with in shot frames.

I have experience using several types of 35mm film types. Kodak Gold 200 is the best.

I use it for ordinary life photos for standard ISO settings. It is relatively cheap but decent film that contains Kodak color.

This Ultra-Affordable film (a.k.a. ColorPlus 200) here in Europe, the price of this film is 1/7 of Ektar and 1/5 of Portra, it's is a consumer film, but Pro use (and love) this film, few time ago it's sell without paper box and plastic case, in a professional style foil wrap, and now the price grow a little and return the standard paper box and plastic case. This film have several advantage: 1 It's a Kodak (High quality) 2 Every 1h Lab in the world know how to print (the most important) 3 Cheap 4 Razor sharp 5 Please remember this film is NOT Kodak Gold 200 I use only this film, due fantastic price, in my travel across Europe, without problem, i use over 20 roll in legendary London garden and obtain always fantastic razor sharp picture and good colour.

WE use this film for general photos. As you can tell, we have not made the switch to digital and Kodak gives us a high, clear result. We shoot in all weather and sometimes the 200 speed is essential to a successful picture.
