This 2' long ProAim Flyking Precision Camera Slider with Mitchell Mount provides you with the capability for smooth slides supporting up to 154 pounds of fluid head and camera gear. The slider has 15" of slider travel on 8 precision ball bearings, which are coated with a lubricant that bonds to the bearings for silent operation. This makes the slider suitable for use while recording audio in quiet scenes. The carriage incorporates spring-loaded shock absorbers to help prevent sudden stops when reaching the end of the track. The Flyking Slider features smooth 360° in-shot panning on the Mitchell legs, unlike most sliders, which require the slider to be mounted on a fluid head. The Flyking mounts directly to the Mitchell mounting plate on your tripod legs. Additionally, four adjustable height legs are included with the slider.

The slider's 154-pound load capacity is made possible by the precision-machined aluminum rails that the carriage travels along. The rails feature a Mitchell fitting that enables mounting the slider on a set of tripod legs with a Mitchell mount. Make sure your tripod legs can support the weight of the slider, fluid head, and camera rig. The slider includes two crossbar track ends, which allow you to mount a quick release plate so you can support the slider on two tripods, one on each end. The track ends also feature 5/8" mounting holes for mounting the slider on two C-stands. The side of the slider track incorporates imperial and metric markings, and the slider carriage features a pointer, which, in conjunction with the side markings, allows you to note where the carriage is on the track so you can make repeatable sliding moves.

The slider features 15mm rails set roughly 9.45" apart, and the carriage features a bubble level.

The Flyking Slider's bearings feature a bonded lubricant. This helps keep the slider rolling smoothly and quietly. The lubricant chemically bonds to the bearings, which means that it doesn't flow off the bearings due to gravity when the slider is not being used, allowing the slider to start smoothly from a standing start.

The CNC-machined precision rails support up to 154 pounds of Tripod head and camera rig, easily accommodating most larger digital cinema cameras with lens, matte box, and accessories.

The rails feature a Mitchell plate for mounting on a set of tripod legs with a Mitchell mounting plate. The rails also feature 360° pan capability, allowing you to simultaneously pan and slide during the shot. Please note the pan function is only available when using the slider's Mitchell mount; if you support the slider via the threaded mounting holes or the baby-pin receiver on the crossbar ends you cannot pan the slider track.

The slider carriage incorporates a Mitchell mounting plate that accepts tripod heads with Mitchell plates. The carriage's Mitchell mounting features four key ways, which makes it quicker to mount your head.

When using the included legs to support the rails, the slider has a minimum height of 6.69" and a maximum height of 9.06". this provides just over 2.25" of height adjustment, which you can use to level the slider on uneven terrain.

The slider features both a sliding lock and a pan lock.

Q: 1. I have a Libec tripod with a bowl mount - could I use this tripod head with this slider?

A: No, you need a tripod that has a Mitchell Mount.

Q: 2. Can I mount this one on any tripod for extending height?

A: It is built to mount on all Mitchell mount tripods. It will not be compatible with the majority of non-Mitchell mount tripods.

Q: 3. Is there a 75mm bowl version available?

A: Proaim does not make a 75mm bowl version of the Proaim 4' Flyking Precision Camera Slider with 100mm Bowl Mount & Carrying Case. There is not an adapter specifically for the FlyKing, but you could use the E-Image 100mm to 75mm Bowl Adapter, BH #EIA17, to adapt to the 100mm bowl.

Q: 9. If placed over a hard surface or even screwed to a heavy table using the feet not the mitchel, can you use a heavy Cabrio pl zoom lens at 100 or even 120mm focal length and not get shaking video using a super 35 camera with no IS? Did anyone tested this at Proaim or anyone else? All YouTube reviews have no real samples of this, only short unimpressive shots mostly wide Angie shots

A: The Proaim Flyking Precision Camera Slider has a 154 pound payload and will handle the Fujinon Cabrio Lens with a Super35 Camera.

Q: 10. I understand this to accept a mitchell head on one end. Can the other end accept a 100mm half bowl mount? My sticks have provision for 100mm bowl, and I'd like to use this with my current setup.

A: There are no available100mm bowl to Mitchell adapters. The Proaim Mitchell-Base Tilt Wedge requires a Mitchell mount to meet its weight rating.

so the cart came in today weighing at 126lbs, its not light for one man (unless you got muscles which I dont have)

Setup:
setup was extremely easy as they provide you with the tools needed inside. everything was wrapped and the insert styrofoam made sure everything was neat.

after assembly this this is HUGE BUT one thing to note is that the wheels aren't inflated so be sure to inflate before loading it. 30 PSI is what its rated for

Storage:
putting everything back was easier then assembly. if youre going it one man band (which I dont recommend) youre going to find that lifting one side up will make the other side harder to lift as the tubs will press on the side of their insert. I just lifted one side, walked around and slowing got the other side out as I didn't want to to slam down.

the wheels and accessories will be moving around inside, as expected but I found I had a bag to place everything in so that I didn't have to carry around the foam that was inside initially.

Use:
maneuvering around was easy enough with the rubber handles. especially thru grass or tough terrain that my smaller rocker cart was a nightmare to deal with in that situation.

overall:
a great cart for the price, this thing will most definitely last with its durable body and ease of use! I highly recommend this cart for anyone looking for a durable cart that will most definitely fit the needs

It’s kinda simple, it adds a baby pin to the cart, but that’s great! I use it as a light mount, one less C stand to carry around. Or I use it as a Steadimate Steadicam stand while balancing my rig or between shoots. Very handy to have.

Only minor complaint, it would be nice to have the hardware that lets you clamp on the hardware after the cart is assembled instead of having to install before the top shelf is on. That said, it’s not something you rearrange a ton.
