This 4 to 9-stop, 52mm Haida NanoPro Variable ND Filter provides an exposure reduction of 4 to 9 stops. The 1.2 to 2.7 optical density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The degree of density is easily controlled by rotating the front filter ring, helping you to predetermine the additional exposure length required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. For easier, repeatable control over density settings, the front ring is also visually demarcated with dots that represent different density values and includes a rotation lever to further enable fast, as well as precise positioning of the front ring.

This filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity and color fidelity. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes 10 layers of anti-reflection coatings, which also offer greater protection to the filter substrate and help keep it clean for a longer period of time. The Nano coating associated with the Haida 52mm NanoPro Variable Neutral Density Filter provides an additional layer that results in an improved beading effect when the surface comes in contact with water or oil, allowing for more efficient cleaning.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter work with any other metal UV filter placed on the lens?

A: Unfortunately, the Haida NanoPro Magnetic Clear Night Filter (82mm) does not work with any other metal UV filter placed on the lens. It requires the Haida 82mm Magnetic Adapter Ring screwed onto the lens or the front of your UV filter if it has 82mm diameter filter threads and then you can use the Haida NanoPro Magnetic Clear Night Filter (82mm) over the adapter ring. https://bhpho.to/3xTA7FZ

Q: 2. So if I buy this set, would I be able to use it with my lenses 57mm all the way to 82mm in my R5 ?

A: Yes you could stack these and place an 82mm filter on a 37mm lens. You can also use them one at a time for a smaller change for example to use 62mm filter on a 58mm lens.

Q: 3. Does this cause vignetting when used on the Sony 16-35mm G PZ lens?

A: The H&Y Filters RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter for 77mm Filters should not cause any vignetting when used with the Sony 16-35mm lens.

Q: 4. Will these work with a filter holder like a Nisi V6 or V7? That is, can I use the 82mm adapter to put the Nisi holder on a range of lenses?

A: The H&Y Filters RevoRing Variable Adapter Bundle (3 Adapters) are compatible with screw-in filters only.

Q: 5. is the level detachable? If so, can I still use the lens hood on my rf 24-105mm without the level?

A: The lever is detachable but the filter ring is too large to be used inside the Canon hood. A screw on hood could be used instead such as this: https://bhpho.to/35j7SrF

Q: 6. Is this filter multi-coated?

A: Yes, the Haida 58mm NanoPro Magnetic Interchangeable Variable ND 2-Filter Kit would be multi-coated.

Q: 7. Can this be used with K&F magnetic rings?

A: The Haida NanoPro Magnetic Clear Night Filter can't be used with K&F magnetic rings.

Q: 8. I'm using a B&W 77mm KSM HTC polarizer. Will this filter thread on to my polarizer?

A: Your B+W High-Transmission Circular Polarizer would have a front thread to accept another filter like the K&F Concept ND8-ND2000 Nano-X Variable ND Filter with Multi-Resistant Coating (77mm).

Q: 9. I'm unclear. I have lenses 52-72mm. I assume I would need a RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter...plus what exactly? Their kickstarter page is even more confusing.

A: This adapter fits on lenses with a 52-72mm filter thread in order to allow the use of 77mm filters on it.

Q: 10. I have 67mm polarized filter that i want to use on lenses that are smaller then 67mm(48-67) ..... which rovering to choose ? the 67mm or the 77mm ?

A: This H&Y RevoRing for 77mm filters will not work on your 67mm CPL filter. You should instead consider the H&Y RevoRing for 67mm filters, because that will work with your 67mm filter.

I backed this project back when it was on Kickstarter and I loved it! The original one I got was for my 82mm filters. Back then, I didn't have lenses that were that small where I needed the medium sized RevoRing, but now, I do. I knew exactly what I needed to get and hopped right on here to grab the next size down. Very happy with it and glad I don't have to carry around that huge back of step-up rings sounding like a janitor walking up to a photoshoot

es caro pero te ahorras de llevarte los rings normales si usas varios lentes usualmente, hace tu equipo ligero pero si siempre usas un lento o dos no vale la pena

I backed this project back when it was a Kickstarter and I've been using it for years now and I love it! I originally purchased the one for the 82mm and used that on all my lenses. I've since acquired other lenses that now have smaller rings, so I purchased the smaller one so I can continue to adapt my large filters to my smaller lenses. These are perfect and I would highly recommend getting these so you don't have to carry the multiple step up rings to fit all your lenses

I use a 67 -82 for my stills lenses and this with a step-down ring for an 86mm variable ND.

A 77-86 would be perfect for my use and I hope we get that eventually.

Buying filters to adapt to all my lenses was going to be expensive. With this, all I had to buy was the adapter for the 82 and one for the 67 along with filters for those two sizes in order to cover my range of lenses. Great value and better than step up rings.

Offers a great way to quickly share my various 77mm Singh-Ray circular filters across a few smaller diameter (52-72mm), fixed focal length lenses I use for landscapes. The diaphragm attachment mechanism locks into the filter threads on the lens. Very slick and secure.

The adapter eliminates the need to purchase lens-specific filters or step-up rings, and reduces the tedium of screwing and unscrewing filters. It also minimizes the use coarse language that is typically required to free a stuck filter.

I purchased several of these adapters to allow me to pre-mount a polarizer, variable ND filter and a clear protective filter. This eliminates the need to unscrew the different filters from the adapter as landscape subjects and lighting change during a day. I just pick the lens and the filter I want to use and just pop them on.

The adapter comes with a nice neoprene sleeve that can hold the adapter with a mounted filter. I also purchased a 77mm lens cap to protect the filters when they are mounted on the lens.
