A: Yes Michael, it's tight, but you can close the door on the battery compartment. There is a little rubber trap door on the battery compartment door that flips up for the cable to exit. Unfortunately, it won't work on the 3rd party AC adapter that B&H sells because the cable does not line up with the trap door. Only the expensive Sony version works.

Q: 3. Are Eneloop batteries compatible with this product?

A: To our knowledge, Panasonic Eneloop batteries have not been tested with this charger. That being said, the results may vary.

A: Yes you can close the cover. There is a notch for the cord to fit. Works great!

Q: 8. Will this work with the A6600? My understanding is that uses a bigger battery than 6400

A: The A6600 uses the larger NP-FZ100 battery. This AC adapter is only for Sony E mount cameras that utilize the NP-FW50 battery such as the A6100.

Q: 9. Will this charger work with Lithium Ion batteries?

A: According to the manufacturer's website, the Powerex C9000Pro Professional Charger-Analyzer supports Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Nickel Cadmium (NiCD) batteries. They do not list compatibility with Lithium-Ion batteries.

Q: 10. will the ac adapter work with the sony 850 ?

A: We are not familiar with an 850 model of camera by Sony. However this AC Adapter works with Sony Cameras that are powered by an NP-FW50 battery, B&H SONPFW50. If you camera uses that kind of battery it should work with this adapter.

This is a must have unless you plan on buying 20 batteries and 20 chargers. Fits snugly within the camera's battery holder and powers the camera without any issues. 5

I shoot a lot of long format interviews on the Sony a7S and changing batteries way too often was starting to irritate me as well as the producers. A real mojo killer. This product saved the day! I was tempted to go cheaper, but don't. This is a Sony product so you know it's gonna perform with your Sony cameras. As stated elsewhere, this should come with the kit Sony! I have to image most people are buying this for the video side of the camera because as a still camera, it's just OK. Only odd thing is, the transformer is bigger than the camera! 5

I filmed my daughters play (2 Hours) and it was great not having to worry about a battery running out during the play. Just drop the battery out and slip the adapter in the same location until it snaps into place and your set. 5

I originally purchased a cheap knockoff version for my camera. It would overheat and I would lose the camera while doing live video presentations or recording, as I am using the DSLR as a webcam. I replaced the cheap version with the Sony AC Adapter and it works like a charm. 5

The Sony A7s is FIERCE on batteries. I had a long interview shoot coming up, so I knew I had to get this mains power source to get around the battery problem. To my dismay, this item is no longer available in Australia, not even direct from SONY!! But B&H has them, of course! It arrived promptly in the mail and works perfectly. 5

Works just as described. I've run my A7Sii for an hour and a half without any issue (I hooked it up to a Shogun external recorder and didn't record internally, so I can't speak to overheating issues if you're recording internally). 5

Purchasing the genuine OEM product is obviously more expensive than knock-off brands, but when it comes to battery performance I'd rather not take any chances. The way I think about it, is that even if a knock-off brand malfunctions even once during an important shoot, such as a wedding ceremony, the cost offsets almost immediately. Definitely worth it. 5

With how fast the A7 series drains batteries, this AC adapter is a must for any longer shoots on a tripod. Worth every penny in my opinion. 5
