The Cokin 67mm NUANCES Clearsky Filter is designed to reduce the appearance of light pollution in images or video that include the night sky and illumination from artificial light sources. This effect can be obtained when this filter is used on a film camera system with daylight film installed or on a digital camera system with its daylight white balance setting selected.

Light pollution occurs in areas of the night sky that are above or near concentrated and intense sources of artificial light such as cities. These light sources can include exterior and interior lamps for commercial or residential buildings, brightly lit advertisements such as billboards, streetlamps, as well as sports and entertainment venues. Together they can result in a type of light pollution known as sky glow, where individual stars, the Milky Way, and other astronomical features in the night sky are obscured. Additionally, artificial lights clustered together can become difficult to individually discern. Light pollution from these "cluttered" sources can become a source of distraction within an image and can resemble overexposed areas of glare.

When used, the Cokin 67mm NUANCES Clearsky Filter can improve the results of nighttime images by absorbing the yellow light from sodium-vapor lamps or mercury-vapor lamps, common light sources within urban areas. By preventing the dominant wavelengths of light associated with the color of those lamps from being recorded, the visibility of astronomical objects is enhanced, and artificial light sources are more clearly defined with less glare and improved contrast.

This filter is constructed from optical-quality neodymium glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. It features an aluminum alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with the iphone 15 pro max?

A: The Moment 67mm Phone Filter Mount BH #MO67PFM will fit the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Q: 2. Is this Multicoated? Is it better than the b+w filter?

A: Yes T* lenses are multicoated. I use one of these on a Zeiss zf2 lens for Nikon and my other ZF2 Zeiss lenses (5) all have B+W F-Pro filters on them. I see no difference between these two brands of filter on lenses used on D810. There is a lot of hype around filter brands. Take the filters off when you want the lens to perform as designed.

Q: 3. How many stops does this filter add to the exposure time?

A: An R72 filter will block about 7 stops of light but it will vary depending on the time of day, time of year and the anti aliasing filter that is built into your camera. Different times of the day and year have different amounts of IR light which will affect your exposure times. So you will need to experiment.

Q: 4. Are the Zeiss Filters compatible with Nikkor lens?

A: See no reason why not. It depends on the front filter thread size of the Nikkor lens. Should be compatible with 67mm.Good luck'Shmulik

Q: 5. Will this work with the canon rebel t3 slr? why is it labeled 52 mm? will it work with canon 70-300 zoom lens and canon standard 18-55 mm lens?

A: The Canon Rebel T3 SLR can be used with circular polarizers, however the lens/lenses you use will determine the specific filter size you need. This particular one is labeled 52mm as the diameter (measurement of line through the center) is 52mm wide. The Canon 18-55mm and 70-300mm lenses in this instance both have 58mm sized filter threads to mount filters and lens caps. So this 52mm sized filter is not compatible with those lenses. See the links below for two different compatible/recommended 58mm Circular Polarizer filters:http://bhpho.to/JyJADXhttp://bhpho.to/JyNih2

Q: 6. Can I use this filter in a Nikon D 5500? Thkns!

A: The D5500 is DX format. Ive used the filter in an D800 which is FX format. Bur if your lens has a 52mm thread, this filter should work, independent of the format. The Zeiss filters are without peer even if they are no longer manufactured in Germany. These filters are now made in Japan, which is fine. At least they are not yet made in China.

Q: 7. Will this work on a Sony a6000 ??? Sometimes these Circular types will not work on particular Digital Cameras !!! Thank You !!!

A: This filter will work with any lens that has a 40.5mm diameter. Circular polarizers are compatible with digital cameras, however linear polarizers are not.

Q: 8. Can this filter be screwed on a lens with 95mm filter thread (without using Evo P Series Filter Holder)?

A: The filter is only for use in a holder. For a 95mm lens, you would need this X-Pro size version: https://bhpho.to/3oGVzua Plus you would need this holder: https://bhpho.to/39rXyfr And this adapter: https://bhpho.to/35zB5Mw

Q: 9. What is the material of the frame? Is it brass? Aluminium? Plastic?

A: The ZEISS 77mm Carl ZEISS T* UV Filter ring is made of Aluminum.

Q: 10. What's the difference with the Cokin P164?

A: The main difference is that the P164 is a circular 84mm filter with no front threads while this EVO filter is a circular 95mm filter and has front threads.
