Convert 208 or 200 VAC input into low voltage 120 or 100 VAC output for powering low-voltage equipment using the AP9626 Step-Down Transformer from APC. This transformer features a load capacity of 5000 VA, 12 x NEMA 5-15R outlets that are always powered on, a 3' NEMA L6-30P power cord, and a 2 RU form factor. Rack mounting brackets are included.

Please note that in order for the AP9626 to output the full 5000 VA, the input must be hardwired to a 5500 VA source.

Place the step-down transformer upstream of a UPS to avoid inrush current and saturation, eliminating the need for an oversized transformer.

This can be a big problem solver in your datacenter when you have just a few legacy devices that just cannot be operated at 208V, though there are fewer of these items every day (thank goodness). You can probably use a smaller step-down transformer than this, and you should, as this device is not inexpensive. I’ll mention that this item is styled to match the previous generation of Smart-UPS On-line UPSes.
