Q: 2. Will this work with Mac Ventura? I assume software is downloaded.

A: The Savage Green Screen Software Kit is not compatible with Mac OS. It will work with Windows Vista and 7. The software is contained in a physical DVD.

Q: 3. Is this the most recent version of Green Screen Wizard, or an older version?

A: I contacted the manufacturer concerning your inquiry. According to the manufacturer, while they may not be sure exactly which version of software is included on the discs in our inventory, they state the important thing is the serial number that is included with the software. They state with the serial number, you may download the latest software for your computer's operating system from their website at no cost, and you may use the serial number to activate the software.

Q: 5. Is the fabric transparent?

A: If the background is set up in front of a very bright light source, like a window on a sunny day, you may see some transparency. If that happens to me on location, I simply meter the ambient light and select an aperture/shutter speed combination which will work. Since the main light is coming from strobes, it is rare to have contamination from an ambient light source.

A: Yes, once you have keyed the footage, you can add a video to the keyed area.

Q: 7. How quickly could I drop a background into the photograph after it is taken?

A: As soon as you take the image. You open the image then the desired background in the Green Screen software. I needed it for a last minute shoot where I knew there would be no good scenery. It worked great - especially since it was my first experience with green screens. I looked at more expensive apps but decided to go with this one (due to my inexperience). It doesn't have a lot extra junk that would take a person a long time to figure out.I like it but will probably advance to another app some point in time.

Q: 8. Can you wash backdrop?

A: According to Savage, the background is machine-washable with mild detergent and tumble drying it on a low setting.
