The photo vest was purchased prior to leaving for a six-week trip overseas. It was intended to augment accessory pockets that are usually used to store camera accessories during photography in the field. As it turned out, the vest had so much storage that it provided an extra carry-on that could be worn going through airports. Not only did it handle photo gear, but the pockets were large enough to carry guide books and binoculars and provided organization for the myriad of small items carried while traveling. For my purposes, I made the large lower right pocket even bigger and more useful for large medium-format lenses and other bulky items by removing the vertical stitching that originally partitions the pocket into two smaller ones and then reinforcing the area where a few stitches at the bottom of the pocket were taken out. Before purchasing the vest, I looked at several brands and didn't find too much difference between them other than the quality of the finish which wasn't of much concern to me. The Humvee vest seems to be reasonably durable. Like a number of other reviewers, note that the vest sizing runs really large! Typically, I wear a mens' medium and sometimes a large in almost all clothing. An X-small was just the right size after trying several at another retailer (they didn't have the right color in the time needed so it was purchased at B&H). Note that the vest does get a bit uncomfortable during warmer weather when loaded up with gear so other clothing may need to be shed accordingly.

Yes, the vest does run large. My original large size was for a costume and worked well. My new XS is a good fit and great for plane trips. It eliminates the need for a purse and leaves my hands free for my carry-on bag. Of course, with all the many pockets, I had to make a list to know where I'd stashed everything for quick retrieval!

Well constructed, smaller size vest. Used on extended solo video shoots in inhospitable locations, run and gun stuff. Lots of pockets for extra batts, audio recorders, flashlights etc. Like the option of the smaller size because other brands only go down to Small. Perfect fit, perfect vest.

This vest is GREAT. B&H is the only place I could get an XS size. Thank you B&H!

It fits my needs, good basic vest that's not so basic! Loaded with some nice features (*see spec sheet*) and be sure to choose Extra Small if you're a slimmer person like me, you can't go wrong with extra small. I'd imagine looking over the measurements of the product will help you out with deciding on the right size that works for YOU. This vest is of nice quality..

So many pockets. Just be sure you order the right size, I'm an average-height person with a light build and this fits great.--The small size would have fit a larger person perfectly I'd like to think.I descovered this after first ordering this in a small first.Just get this vest if you're around an average height but you weigh under 140lbs. I weight about 120LBS and it has some confort room..Like I said, I returned this vest in a small.The process was a minor set back, but ultimatly B&H helped me get the right size fast.

Nice jacket with lot of pockets. I had checked with the local camera shop and they were selling for the same price a jacket with much less pockets. I used it for two ocassions and I could fit all my gears, batteries, chargers, 50mm 1.4, 60mm 2.8 etc in the it. Highly recommended.

If you're about the average Male height, but have sleeker stature as I do, this is the vest for YOU!

Lots of pockets to hold all the small thing I need while shooting pictures in the field. It is a must to have.
