Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Whats the official weight limit?

A: An official weight limit is not listed, but that is because this is a product that replaces the original camera hook that comes with your EasyRig. The weight limit will be the same as it was before when using this product, it will just depend on the model of EasyRig you are using.

Q: 2. I wand to buy Easyrig Vario Stander Support Bar with 5 Extened Arm and Flowcine Serene. Can you fabricate them for me? Thanks

A: We have the Easyrig Vario 5 With A Gimbal Rig Vest And 5 Extended Arm With A Flowcine Serene Preinstalled Small, B&H # EARIGVA5GRV, available for Special Order.https://bhpho.to/2JrkDUo

Q: 3. What happens if you exceed the 15.4 lb weight limit? I know the old Mini spring could break.

A: Dear SirOn the Minimax, there an over weight protection. So it can not break, but at 15 pounds and more the spring will not work and the rope will be at the maximum expansion. Hope it will help. Pierre

Q: 4. Can this plate prevent camera twist in Front heavy Setup? ( like Canon R6 + RF 28- 70 on DJI RS2 ) OR Getting camera cage is the only option?

A: The Tilta Extended Quick Release Baseplate for Select DJI Gimbals is designed to attach to cages.

Q: 5. I would like to use both the 1/4-20 and the 3/8" mounting screws with the smallrig d850 #2129 cage Is that possible?

A: We feel that it should work.

Q: 6. Does this extend far enough for the BMPCC6K Pro with cage?

A: Typically, you should avoid added weight with a camera cage on the gimbal as it can wear out the motors and/or throw off balance. That being said, the Tilta Extended Quick Release Baseplate for Select DJI Gimbals will sit at the bottom of the Tilta Full Camera Cage for BMPCC 6K Pro/G2/BMPCC 6K (B&H # TITAT11FCCB) while a small portion of the extended baseplate protrudes forward.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the DJI RS Focus Motor (2022)? Someone stated in the reviews that the guide pins are not compatible.

A: The Tilta Extended Quick Release Baseplate for Select DJI Gimbals does appear to not support the DJI Focus Motor mounting hardware, which do use a smaller screw mount than found on the side of this plate.

Q: 8. Is there a part that would allow us to mount the focus motor and rod clamp to the front of the plate like the original can? This only has the mounting holes on the sides.

A: No there isn't.

Q: 9. Is there a corresponding receiver plate that would allow for mounting on a tripod?

A: No, there is currently no available option for mounting this on a tripod.

Q: 10. Does this vest accommodate for tall people? 6'+?

A: I'm 6'2 and it works great. You can adjust the bar to be a little taller if need be.

Also, about the most expensive. But, I have a Nikon 400MM AFS Lens and my Gitzo Ball head on my Gitzon 2541 Tripod and it simply did not cut it. While my Gitzo ball head is rated for 26 lbs. it would not properly hold my monster lens. This Gimbal is perfect, besides looking great, the functionality of the rig is perfect, the bearings are smooth and the knobs are easy to use. If you are a serious shooter and have a 300MM Plus lens, you need this Gimbal Head. Period. It has made me much more efficient and I no longer feel like my tripod will tip over due to a uneven load. It's expensive but if you are on the fence...Go for it. I am sure glad that I did. It's perfect with my Gitzo Tripod.

I use it with a 600mmF/4 ED VR It's the right tool for it. It's light, firm and smooth. I have nothing bad to say, on the contrary, it has changed my long lens work

I bought this to support my Canon 500mm and I can't imagine not having it. The Wimberley along with a Gitzo 3541LS tripod is the perfect setup for the 500mm. It balances the lens perfectly and holds the camera at whatever angle I leave it at. It is solid piece of equipment.

I spend a lot of time in the Kruger National Park photographing wild life and birds,I use a Nikon D3 and a 600 f4 vr. My life has become so much easier, the 600mm now feels like a 50mm.

It is my second Winberley head. I use one in a Gitzo tripod other in a Kirk window mount. They are very easy to use and provide a very sturdy support.
