The durable, anodized aluminum ring threads the hood easily onto the lens, and the interior threads on the ring enable you to screw a filter on or clip a lens cap inside the hood to protect the lens. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with Zeiss 35 mm distagon without vignetting?

A: I personally have found no problem

Q: 2. Does this work with Nikon AF 85mm f/1.8D lens?

A: Yes that lens accepts 62mm filters so Sensei LHR2-T62 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood (62mm) will screw in.

Q: 3. Will there be vignetting if this hood used in the 24-70mm set at 24mm?

A: Yes, it will produce vignette. It is for a lens on a full frame camera that is 50mm or longer. These are better for a 24-70 lens, https://bhpho.to/3pbjYer But best is to get a hood that is actually made for the lens.

Q: 4. Will there be vignetting if this hood used in the Tamron 18-300mm set at 18mm? If using this hood, I would use a 67-82mm step-up

A: Yes, the Sensei LHR2-T82 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood (82mm) will vignette the 18-300 at 18mm.

Q: 5. The inner ring is made of Metal?

A: Yes, the inner ring is made of metal. The hood folds flat to accommodate wide angle lenses by preventing vignetting at the edges of the image.

Q: 6. I want a hood I can stick up against windows to block reflections. Would this be workable for that? I'm hoping to avoid the super bulky ones.

A: The Sensei LHR2-T77 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood (77mm) could work for your purposes, but I recommend experimenting with it.

Q: 7. When in its most compressed configuration, is this 3-in-1 version the same width opening as the wide angle version re vignette?

A: Yes, the Sensei 72mm Wide Angle Rubber Lens Hood and the Sensei LHR2-T72 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood (72mm) both offer similar coverage to about 28mm in full frame when collapsed.

Q: 8. Can a UV filter or lens filter also be used on the lens at the same time?

A: Yes you can. I am using a protective filter with it.

Q: 9. Will this work for 75mm-205mm on an aps-c camera?

A: It will work with your lens, just make sure to order the correct thread size for yor lens..

Q: 10. If I am using a magnetic filter system, which already has a screw-in lens adapter, while this lens hood still work?

A: The Sensei LHR2-T82 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood requires a filter thread to attach to the lens. If the magnetic filter system adapter doesn't have a front filter thread, then this wouldn't be able to screw into it. If your magnetic filter doesn't have a front thread, then you wouldn't be able to screw into that either. If your magnetic filter system does have a front thread, I wouldn't recommend using it because the weight of the lens hood would constantly cause the filter to disconnect.

I use the Sensei LHR2-T82 lens hood on my Pentax 67. It works great and because it collapses there is no need to remove it when I put the camera in my backpack. I highly recommend it for anyone using 83mm. filters.

Of course I’d find this piece at b and h, they never disappoint! I especially love I can find anything for my film camera Pentax K 1000 where a lot of other places no longer carry. I’ve shopped here since forever.

I ordered two of these lens hoods to use with a run-and-gun style setup with my bmpcc so as to reduce flare and unwanted loss of contrast in my images while filming events, weddings, and in other settings where I can't always control the lighting. While this lens hood isn't the highest quality solution when it comes to reducing sun flares, for my needs, this is the best solution. After ordering two of these lens hoods, one arrived without issue, while the second lens hood appeared to be mis-manufactured, with a quite pronounced tapering of the rubber flange such that the hood itself was not symmetrical relative to the 82mm mounting ring. After contacting B&H about the issue, their customer representatives were extremely prompt and helpful with getting mine returned and swapped out with a new one. Thanks B&H!!

I use my Canon 100 mm macro lens up against glass sometimes. The rubber lens hood is flexible letting me place it flush again the glass, something that can't be done with the regular hood. Also, in a crowd, if someone walks by too close to the lens, this hood will flex and not scratch the person which has happened with the regular hood. This lens hood is the perfect accessory for me!

Good stiff rubber, excellent threads, works like a charm for far less than name-brand hoods.
