Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the bridge mode a method of chaining two or more devices together for multi-room output of the same signal?

A: No. Bridge mode means wiring two amplifiers together to output more power, typically for the purpose of powering speakers that require higher wattage.

Q: 2. Is the 250W/Channel @ 8 Ohms rating RMS watts, or some peak watt rating? Please don't guess, I'd like to know for sure.

A: I suspect that the true RMS power rating at 8 ohms is closer to 80 watts. But the manufacturer has not provided or published this specification.

Q: 3. Would this amp work for the famous studio monitors Yamaha ns-10m???? They are 50watts max and 8 ohms... the recommendation on the vintage Ampsthat were used back then have similar specs to this but I'm not sure if this would blow them out.... hope yall can help....

A: I would not use this amp to power speakers listed with a 50 watt max.

Q: 4. What should I have the gain at?

A: I have mine running a eurolive vp 1220, pa speaker, with a xenyx 802 board. It is only using channel a and i have it set to +10. It is only in being used an averaged sized room so it doesn't need to go any higher than that. I would say as long as it is not clipping you should be OK. I would run whatever you will typically play through it, find where it starts to clip and then back it down to where it stops. That would be a good max setting in my opinion. Also, check the user manual for your speakers for limits. You definitely don't want to blow them. I hope this helps.

Q: 5. Does this have a built-in AM/FM receiver?

A: The Pyle Pro PTA1000BT has a built-in FM radio but no AM.

Q: 6. pyle pro pta 1000. i want to use it on Yorkville speakers 200 watt. for dj gigs in small vanues is this a good amp?

A: This amp is good for backup only I won't recommend to used on for more than 3 hour this amp is good for houseprahousepr practice only..

Q: 7. I have a Klipsch KD-51M Bookshelf speakers & eventually will get a subwoofer. I want to connect to my computer. Will this work?

A: Yes, the Pyle Pro PTA1000 Professional Stereo Power Amplifier (250W/Channel @ 8 Ohms) (BH # PYPTA1000) will comfortably drive the Klipsch KD-51M bookshelf speakers. This amplifier will connect to your computer's analog audio output There is no subwoofer output on this amplifier.

Q: 8. Speakers ratings, should I take minimum or peak as reference to match my speakers to an amplifier?

A: You should take both ratings into consideration if they are provided. RMS power ratings provide a better idea of the continuous power that is provided by an amplifier or when an RMS rating is listed for a speaker, it is the amount of continuous power that a speaker can handle. Peak power ratings refer to occasional short bursts of power that an amp can provide or the amount of power in a short burst that a speaker can handle. When only peak power ratings are provided, you can determine the RMS power rating by multiplying peak power x 0.7071. For example, if an amplifier is rated at 800 watts peak power, multiply 800 x 0.7071 which equals 565.68, meaning the amp's RMS power is approximately 566 watts.

Q: 9. Can we use PX3 pro amp for hometheater setup and home or this is for commercial purpose like events and functions .. thanks

A: This is generally used for either amplifying PA speakers or for commercial use. Usually home entertainment speakers require an amplifier that pushes a different impedance. This amp does 300w at 8ohms per channel and 500w at 4ohms per channel. Most home entertainment speakers run at 6ohms and are generally a lower wattage.

Q: 10. My speakers are Max 380 watts RMS, is the PX5 too powerful?

A: No, the PX5 is not too powerful for speakers that can handle 380 watts each. You can use an amplifier with a power rating that is up to double the amount of power that the speakers are rated for at the same impedance. For example, if your speakers are rated for 380 watts at 8 ohms and the PX5 is rated at 500 watts per channel at 8 ohms, they are compatible.
