The ARRI Softbank D2 Three-Light Kit was designed with modern, light-sensitive digital media in mind, so you can accomplish even more than you might think with the 1250 total watts in this package. Two of ARRI's most popular Fresnel lights form the core of this complete lighting outfit: two of the very efficient 300W Plus Fresnels each use a 3.2" (80 mm) low expansion, borosilicate Fresnel lens to produce a soft, even field of light. The 650W Fresnel features a 4.3" (110mm) lens with the same reflector, housing, and power cord as the 300W Fresnel, producing (of course) more light. A Chimera 16 x 22" softbox is included (perfect for interviews and soft light in tight spaces), as well as barndoors, filter frames, light stands, bulbs, a ceiling scissor clamp to hang a fixture from a drop ceiling, and a hard compact wheeled carrying case for storage and transport. This kit is equipped for 120 VAC operation. It will also function with 220-240 VAC, with the appropriate bulb and plug adapter, available separately.

Q: 1. Does this come with a speed ring for the Chimera?

A: The speed ring is mounted on the 750 fixture. The chimera only works with the 750 in this kit.

Q: 2. do you have 220VAC?

A: We do offer a 220VAC only version which is the Arri Compact Fresnel Three-Light Kit B&H # ARCF3LKX. An image is shown below.

Q: 3. Does this kit come with a speed ring for the Chimera soft box?

A: Yes, the speed ring also holds the barn doors. Important to note that the speed ring is for the 750watt fixture only.

Q: 4. Does this light kit come with bulbs?

A: Yes it comes with bulbs. But just one of each. So it might be a good idea to pick up some spares. It is a great little 3 light kit!

Q: 5. ARRI's website says that for each individual light, the power cable connector is either bare end or Schuko plug. Since this is being sold as a kit and designated as 120V, can I assume this is the US version and therefore has a standard US Edison 3-prong grounded plug already attached to the end of the cable on each of the light fixtures?

A: The lampheads in this kit all include a 3 prong Edison type cable for use in 120V environments.

Q: 6. Hey Folks, Will the 650 light talent at a podium at 30ft?Thanks:-)

A: At thirty feet the 650 Plus is not going to have a strong light output.At 18 feet on full spot the light will be no more than 1120 lumens. At 30 feet it will be less.

Q: 7. It appears that the 150W light in this kit is supplied with a bulb having a 2900 degree color temperature, while the other two lights are supplied with 3200 degree bulbs. Are 3200 degree bulbs available that would fit in the 150 watt housing? And can anyone comment on how likely the 2900 vs 3200 difference is to be a significant issue in video'ing indoor interviews? Thanks.

A: While there are no 3200° K bulbs for the Arri 150 Fresnel, the difference in color temperature can be supplemented with the use of a CTB filter or with a custom white balance setting in the camera.

Q: 8. what plug end are the lights?

A: USA ground plug (3-prong)

Q: 9. What is the length of the power cord on the D2 Monolight?

A: Nominally 16 feet, the same as the D1 power cord.

Q: 10. How do I attach the Chimera to the adaptor? It doesn't make sense! Send tutorials- please!
