I taped this to my handle as a remote switch for my video rig. It needs to be in front of the camera body to activate the shutter, and the camera needs to be in the right shutter setting. After that, it worked every time for video. 5

I purchased an off-brand RC-6 remote a year ago and just decided to buy the Canon version. By far a much better product. Works great for long-term exposure and remote shutter release. 5
