The DVX-4P-TXS Rackmount DVI System Transmitter from Smart-AVI allows you to extend up to (4) DVI-D, USB 1.1, stereo audio, and RS-232 signals up to 275' (83.82m) using CAT-6 cables. This unit is the transmitter device only. You must combine it with the separately available receiver to form a complete solution.

This unit supports transmission without signal loss at resolutions up to 1900 x 1200. The device is well suited for use in educational institutions, medical facilities, military installations, and conference rooms, among many other possible applications and settings.

A: There are no Twist Lock connections if that is what you mean. if you need a twist lock on the utility power you can just cut the original connector off and put the appropriate 15A 120V twist lock Male connector on there.

Q: 4. How loud is this unit under normal operation? Would you use it in your home?

A: It isn't overly loud. It would depend. If you have a separate room that you are using it in I would say yes, but in a common area you would still have a steady hum. APC's website should give you a db level.

Q: 5. How many "U's" is this APC?

A: The APC Smart-UPS SRT 6000VA Rackmount (208V) is a 4U UPS.

Q: 6. Will it accept trs 1/4" as input?

A: Yes, the Fostex RM-3 Rackmount 20W Speaker System accepts both XLR and 1/4" TS analog input, as well as AES/EBU digital input.

Q: 7. I see that not all features work on all Lanc cameras, but will the Autofocus toggle work on a Canon XA20?

A: Sorry, but the manufacturer has not tested this combination and B&H is not able to test it as well. If you chose to buy, do know that you have a 30 day policy with B&H if you find the unit unsatisfactory.

Q: 8. Does this include the batteries?

A: Yes it includes the batteries. You can also check locally for new batteries when they start to go bad. I've always had good luck with Interstate Battery Company here locally.

Q: 9. Does this product work with the Panasonic agac 130 and the 160? thank you, John

I already had a set of these rear controllers that I used on an HMC150 and my newer PX270, but recently I got a DVX200 and so I needed another set. Depending on the camera, you can get a perfectly smooth very slow zoom. The Panasonic 270 allows me a smoother slow zoom than the DVX200. Not sure why that is. The only downside of this setup is it is easy to bump the focus knob with a stray hand which causes the focus to go radically out of focus, so be careful! Also, if the iris knob is set to the closed position, if you plug in the LANC connectors while recording, the iris will close down until you manually open it back up. I made that mistake on a wedding once. 5

This was actually a mistake, I had meant to purchase the single unit which combines both of these into one piece, VZRock-PZFI Rocker Controller. But, as this was purchased for a hand held format camera, its not a bad idea to have two separate controls. When the hand held is put on a dual handle stabilizer, you can have one of these on each handle. I banged up another Varizoom controller and the focus pot failed. The quality of customer service at Varizoom made a lifelong Varizoom customer out of me. These are great controls when you have your Panasonic on a tripod. Which I do, 98% of the time. Once you get used to them, you will never, ever consider reaching around the camera for the zoom button. If you break it, you will be counting the days until your replacement arrives. 5

This is a must have for anyone using the AC90 from Panasonic. The focus controls on the AC90 are horribly slow. Once I plugged in the studio setup everything was very responsive. Now I can get super fast focus and iris controls at my fingertips. One thing to note though, the focus control (at least for the AC90) is really sensitive, meaning you don't have to turn it much to make the lens adjust its focus. This can be a great thing if you want to rack and focus to something thats really far away and then something very close. However it takes some getting used to when you are fine tuning the focus. Overall Im very happy with this purchase, it really adds another degree of creativity when you are getting shots. 5

So far so good. I have this combo connected so volunteers can comfortably film. Usually leave focus in full automatic, but useful to have the ability to change to manual if auto focus isn't working correctly. 5
