In the description and in the Q&A for the Voigtlander VM 40mm f 2.8 Heiar lens it clearly states that what you will need to be able to focus that lens is the Voightlander VM to E-Mount Close-Up Adapter . I also have that same adapter and it is very well made and works well with my Voigtlander lenses. I do not own the 40mm f 2.8 but if I were to purchase it I would follow the indications and get the Voigtlander Close-Up Adapter.
