The Sunpak TravelSmart Digital Tripod, weighing in at only 1.9 lb (0.86 kg), is a medium duty support that is portable and affordable. This ultra-lightweight is compact... it folds down to a mere 14.5" (36.8cm) and with its split center column extended, reaches 56.0" (142.2cm). The split center column allows for low-angle photography.
This tripod features 5 aluminum leg sections with a twist-knob lock. The TravelLite comes with a great system to ensure precision camera positioning: a 3-way photo/video panhead with a quick release (2 plates are included), a bubble level, and rubber feet for indoor use. The TravelSmart Digital Tripod, which also comes with a carry bag, is the perfect companion for photographers who need a steady platform using the latest point and shoot, compact DSLR cameras and camcorders.

Q: 1. Hi, can this be used as a copy stand? shooting straight down. Is the center column reversible? I don't understand how the low-angle option works. Thanks for any advice!
A: The Sunpak TravelSmart Digital Tripod cannot be used as a copy stand, and the center column is not reversible. In terms of the low-angle option, at the top of the legs, there are little locks that can spin to the side which enable the legs to go from 45 to 75 degrees. The center column is then split, and so you can unscrew the bottom half of the center column to get the tripod closer to the ground.
Q: 2. Can the entire head be removed so a different head could be put on?
A: No. The head is permanently attached.
Q: 3. will this work with Sunpak 8001 UT Tripod?
A: This DOES NOT fit the Sunpak 8001 UT Tripod
Q: 4. Will this fit a Sunpak 6630LX tripod?
A: The taper is what you have to watch. Mine was off just a little and doesnt fit. There must be a few dozen just slightly different, I mean a fraction of an inch.
Q: 5. Will this fit the sunpak 5555dlx? It looks exactly the same but I want to make sure.
A: We do not have a plate for the 5555DLX.
Q: 6. Is the bottom of the plate rectangular or square
A: It's square 40mm
Q: 7. will this fit the ambico v-0552?
A: It will not fit it.
Q: 8. Will this work on a Sunpak 9002D?
A: It did on mine.
Q: 9. what width, depth and length of the tripod pocket?
A: Unfortunately this is a special order item and as such we do not have this available for us to measure. We would recommend that you contact the manufacturer for additional information and specifications on their products beyond what is currently specified here.
Q: 10. I was wondering what kind of carrying case it came with? Is it just a cheap nylon one or is it like the Sunpak 620-755 Compact Tripod Case - for Sunpak Compact SXL Tripod I would like to know if I have to order it seperately. Thanks in advance.
A: The tripod bag that comes with the Sunpak TravelSmart Digital Tripod is an unpadded, nylon carrying bag to protect the tripod from the elements.
