Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. CAN YOU ADJUST HOW FAR IT COMES DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANT THE WHOLE 12" DROP?

A: Elite Screens Spectrum2 Motorized Projection Screen with 12" Drop (49.0 x 87.2") BH #ELSPM100HE12 may be stopped anywhere along its descent or ascent.

Q: 2. What are the supported resolutions for this screen? Will it do full justice to a 4k projector (albeit a Pixel-Shift model such as the Epson 3800)? This information isn't listed.

A: The surface material on this screen is MaxWhite FG, which is a matte white surface that is designed for high-end DLP and LCD projection. This surface provides uniform image diffusion, and precise color and contrast for HD and 4K projection.

Q: 3. Will this work with the Leica Q2?

A: The Q2 has its own screen protector # 24017 or B&H's code LEDPFM10 which is the same protector that is used on the M10. The Q screen protector may work but the fit may not be perfect.

Q: 4. When in black, is the whole drop screen fabric black? Ty

A: The projection surface is a matte white surface designed for high-end DLP and LCD projection. It is surrounded by a 2" black border and a 12" drop at the top. The entire backing is black for sharper picture and clarity.

Q: 5. Does this come in a black case version? If not, can the white casing be painted?

A: The Elite Screens Spectrum2 Motorized Projection Screen with 12" Drop (44.6 x 79.4") B&H # ELSPM91HE1 is not available with a black case. If the case was properly prepared it may be painted. This would void the manufacturer's warranty however.

Q: 6. How fast does it take to go up 4 mins. that seems like a long time??

A: The screen takes about 15 seconds to drop or raise. The motors in these screens have built in heat sensors, so the information posted on our website indicates how long the motor can run before shutting itself off.

Q: 7. how many conductors do you need to wire this switch and is there a wiring diagram that comes with it?

A: This switch requires three conductors. It must be used with a screen that accepts low voltage control. In other words it must have three small wire terminals somewhere. I use these with a VPI. Also this switch will not work with smart projector screens (there is a little micro board inside the projector with RJ-11s on it)

Q: 8. Can this be used in New Zealand (eg 240v)? thanks

A: This operates on 110v you would need a step up converter.

Q: 9. Would you recommend this screen for an ultra short throw projector?

A: The Elite Screens Spectrum2 Motorized Projection Screen with 12" Drop (58.8 x 104.6") BH #ELSPM120HE12 is not an ideal screen for use with a UST projector. Typically you would want a low-gain screen of not more than 0.8

Q: 10. I have two questions: 1) Where is electric cord (on the left or right as facing the screen)? 2) Can the IR sensor be programed to work with universal remotes?

A: The power cord is on the left side of the screen and Yes, the screen should be able to be programmed to a universal remote. You may need to use the included remote to teach the universal the IR code.
