Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do I have to buy the envelopes separately, or do they come with the cards?

A: The Moab Entrada Rag 190 Natural (7 x 10", 100 Cards) do not come with envelopes.

Q: 2. Dual-sized for printing?

A: Yes the Moab Entrada Rag Bright 190 Paper is double sided so it can be printed on both sides.

Q: 3. It's not clear to me which MOAB papers are for dye printers versus pigment printers.....a few specify but not all. For instance, Entrada and Somerset don't tell you which they are intended for. Is there an easy way to distinguish?

A: All of the Moab papers are recommended for pigment inks. Most are compatible with both pigment and dye inks. If it does not list dye ink in the overview or specifications, then it is not recommended for it.

Q: 4. Does this paper need a UV Spray Protector after printing to set the dye ink (not pigment) and keep it from smudging?

A: Moab Entrada Rag Bright 190 Paper (4 x 6", 50 Sheets) (B&H# MOEB1904650) doe not require the addition of a UV spray protectant in order to set normal inkjet dye ink. Just be sure to let the ink dry before handling.

Q: 5. Could I use it with Epson Sure Color P600?

A: Unfortunately the P600 does not have a roll adapter so you will be unable to mount this roll to your P600. Instead you will need to use the Entrada Bright 300 sheets (available in 13x19 and smaller). The next printer model up, the P800, has a roll adapter.

Q: 6. Can you buy envelopes separately?

A: Please email AskBH@a href= http://BHPhoto.com target= _blank BHPhoto.com/a for what type of envelopes you are looking for for recommendations.

Q: 7. Is the paper short grain or long?

A: You'll probably have to work directly with B&H to get a specific grain direction for this particular paper. I've got 8 1/2 x 11 and it is grain long; another person mentioned they had 8 1/2 x 11 and it was grain short. The grain direction for this paper is listed on the back of the box as part of the lot number; you will either see a two-letter code of GS or GL within the lot number (e.g. 21055GL0218).

Q: 8. Compatible with Canon Pixma printers? Moab has no ICC color profile for Canon Pixma. How do prints look using Pixma default printer settings?

A: Yes the Moab papers are compatible and they have ICC profiles that are downloadable from their website.

Q: 9. Does the 13x19 sheet size run short grain or long grain?

A: For the most part all the 13x19 Entrada is converted Grain Short as this produces the best yields from the jumbo rolls. Embedded in the lot # stamp of each Moab box are the letters GL (Grain Long) or GS (Grain Short)

Q: 10. Is the paper grain parallel to the short side or the long side? Apparently the label is marked GS if it is short grain.

A: There is no way we can know in advance what batch we'll get from Moab, but yes if it has a GS it will mean 'short grain'. Moab cuts the paper from a roll & it depends how they slice it up. Although the paper is smooth people that want to fold the paper (i.e. for cards) would be very specific in the grain direction so the paper folds smoothly.
