A: I have been using this item with Windows 10 which was upgraded from Windows 7 and it has been working flawlessly converting 8mm video cassette tapes nearly thirty years old which I have also uploaded to YouTube for viewing by family members across the country. It also allows for easy cutting and editing. I have not used it with VHS tapes but I see no reason why it wouldn't work just as well.

A: capture formats are as followed Video: avi, mpg, mpeg, mod, mp2, mp4, m2ts, mt2, m2t, tod, m1v, m2v, mpv, 3gp, wmv, mov, skm. Still: bmp, dtl, gif, jpg, jpeg, pcx, png, psd, tga, tif, wmf. Audio: wav, mp3, mpa, m4a, wma, avi and ac3.

Q: 3. When was this publication published?

A: I purchased volume 1 and volume 2. Both bear a copy right date of 2009. The date should not matter because the camera model and features do not change from original design.I will further say that I like the format of the presentation on the dvd's. These discs are an excellent companion for the beginning photography class I am taking at a local community college.

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Taiwan. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 5. Can I use this to capture HD from and HD camera and stream it out of the computer it is running into via Adobe Flash encoder? I would need to do this real time.

A: The Pinnacle Dazzle adapter only has analog Composite Video and S-Video inputs. These signals are always standard definition and can not carry a high definition resolution. Additionally, a USB 2.0 port does not have the bandwidth to capture uncompressed HD video. If you have a USB 3.0 port and a camera that outputs an HD signal via an HDMI output, you can use a HDMI to USB 3.0 adapter such as the B&H # IN4K2USB3.

A: Sorry, this software cannot do that. Also we are not aware of any software that can. Basically, whenever you stop, the available software will start again with another clip.

A: BELOW WAS MY RESPONSE LAST WEEK FOR THE UNIT WHICH WAS A MISTAKE. THIS IS MY FOURTH TIME USING IT AS IT CRASHED CONSTANTLY NGSTUDIO STOP WORKING . I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THE UNIT AS IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPOINTING...THE UNIT IS OK FOR BASIC VIDEOS TRANSFER IE.. HOME VIDEOS AND IS NOT DESIGN FOR PROFESSIONAL USERS.

Q: 10. Can I use this device to capture video from a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder?

A: Probably. I haven't tried this particular camera. I had a Canon Mini-DV and a Sony that worked fine with it. The technology should be the same.
