The main baseplate of this shoulder mount was specifically designed for the Canon C series cameras (C100-C300-C500). So it should fit fine. Q: 6. This product photo shows the back shoulder pad extension, does that come with this rig package? And also If I buy the counterweight separate, how does it go onto the rig?

A: Hi Mitchel ,yes the shoulder pad extension come with the rig, if you use any C series camera you need to buy the counterweight sold separately. The pad extension that come with the rig is just plastic and with the camera mounted on the rig you will face some unbalancing problem. With the optional counterweight you will solve all the balance problems. The rig will be a little bit heavy but is ok. Regarding the mounting for both the original and the optional shoulder pad hare tail mounted on the back of the rig true a butterfly screw and a washer. However, since it has been developped specifically for the CANON C-SERIES and its specific optical center, you may experience some difficulties to fit accessories on the front rods like a matte box.
