The Vello Fluorescent Bounce Dome Diffuser for Canon Speedlite 430EX II softens the light output of a flash, reducing harsh shadows that are often the result when using direct illumination. The dome provides even coverage across the entire frame and is ideal for use with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format as well as their equivalents in other formats. Since each Bounce Dome is custom made for the flash, it slips on and off without the need for touch fastener tabs.

This dome has a green tint to match the color emitted by fluorescent lights that is sometimes not readily visible to the eye but can be seen in your photo. With the dome on your flash, simply set your camera to fluorescent balance.

I am a photographer @ Renaissance Festivals, it's a rough and tumble affair with lots of motion on both my part and targets. My previous diffuser was forever falling off and betraying me at very inopportune moments, this one is a good snug fit. It took a few shots to see how well it worked and for the most part I only bler a few shots the first day, I only use it to fill dark spaces under the brims of hats. 5

Every flash needs a diffuser and this one works just fine. Fits well without modification or external straps but then each is made for a specific flash unit. less than a softbox but much better than a naked flash head. 5

This item is really simple and easy to use. Most of the time I like to bounce my flash, but there are some instances where you just can’t do that. That’s when this diffuser comes out to play. It’s really great for diffusing direct flash! Highly recommended! 5

I ordered this at the same time I ordered the new Canon 430EX III-RT. Didn't realize that Canon now includes something very similar so I didn't need this after all. Since the freight to ship it back is so much, I decided to keep it. One advantage it offers over the Canon dome is that the flash unit will fit in the padded storage case Canon included but the flash unit with the Canon dome will not fit in the case. Both domes are very easy to remove. 5
