The Hurricane 262 Lumen General Purpose LED Flashlight from Vulta is an everyday carry flashlight that features a CREE XM-L2 LED that produces a maximum of 262 lumens. It has three output levels: 205, 68, and 4 lumens, as well as 262 in Turbo Mode.

The flashlight's aluminum body has a Mil Spec Type III hard-anodized finish with a titanium alloy belt clip. Its tempered glass lens maximizes throw distance and is impact and scratch resistant. The anti-slip textured body is waterproof and impact resistant up to 6.5', making the Hurricane 262 ideal for harsh conditions. It runs on one disposable or rechargeable CR123 battery. A 3.7V rechargeable CR123 must be used for Turbo Mode functionality. For best performance and peak runtime, a CR123 3.7V battery is recommended. A MOLLE compatible holster, lanyard, and spare O-ring are included with the flashlight.

Q: 1. Is this a 670 nanometer red light?

A: The LEDs emit visible red light but a particular frequency is not specified. So if you need something in the upper end of the near-infrared spectrum I would suggest looking for another light. This is a lower end light, consisting of two LEDs a rheostat and 9V battery connector in a non-weather resistant case.

Q: 2. Is the proprietary Li-ion battery really proprietary or can other standard batteries be used (other than AAA)?

A: You can use either the rechargeable battery pack or 4 AAA batteries. If you have another pack that fits you will want to make sure it meets the same requirements the flashlight requires.

Q: 3. What does it mean "clamshell packaging"? Can you provide a picture?

A: The clamshell clear packaging is pictured on our website.

Q: 4. How do I replace the battery? The instructions say something about clips but I can't find any clips.

A: On the front of the Celestron Night Vision Red LED Flashlight there are clips on the side that one can depress to remove the front lens. Once the lens is removed the bulbs and circuitry can come out to reveal the 9V battery.

A: This light does not come with batteries. You can use alkaline(disposable) or rechargeable D cell batteries.

Q: 7. Can I adjust the brightness from 15 to 178 lumen. Or it only supports 15 and 178 lumen?

A: This flashlight only has two settings: 15 lumens in low output and 178 lumens in high output.

Q: 8. Where is this made at?

Q: 10. My LED light has stopped working how do I change the LED?

Great flashlight! Got as a gift and I love it. My father got this for me as a Christmas gift in 2016, since then I have been camping upwards of 30 times with it. I also use it to do repair work on vehicles and the magnetic bottom is exceptional. This light has been with me almost every day since I got it. Honestly it works and performs so well my father has bought himself, my mom, my 3 brothers, Both grandmothers, and even some of his friends from his time in the Army. At his job before retirement, he actually would buy these 5 or 10 at time and sell them at cost to his coworkers in public service and state corrections. 100% quality product and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a flashlight that will do the job, every time, and have for many years to come! 5

I use it to attach my camera simple-cord neck camera strap to an underside-camera BlackRapid tripod mount fastener [for those times when a simple rope-like strap works better than a full or hybrid harness]. Only a few weeks, but so far so good! You can't beat titanium for strength for sure! [some reviews criticize the spring closer, but it seems to be well made]. A+! 5
