A: The Heliopan 105mm High-Transmission Circular Polarizing Multi-Coated Slim Filter is a multi-coated filter that has eight (8) coatings on each side of the filter to reduce the occurrence of internal glare/flare and to maximize reflection reduction that is caused from off-axis light bouncing around the elements inside the lens on which the filter is attached, and to ensure optimal light transmission. Do note that, as with all multi-coated filters, this is designed to reduce INTERNAL flare/glare and reflections. If you aim the lens directly at a light source or light is entering the lens at an oblique angle on the front of the lens, flare/glare can still be created, and as such, it is still recommended to use a lens hood to reduce external flare (flare cannot be eliminated if you aim the lens directly at a light source, regardless if you are using a multi-coated filter or lens hood. That is just physics.)
