The CATV Channelized Audio/Video Modulator, Channel 33, from Blonder Tongue is an all-solid-state audio/video modulator that provides a modulated visual and aural RF carrier output on one specific CATV channel. The unit modulates the audio and video inputs and provides the requested RF CATV channel output for use in a CATV, MATV or SMATV system. The modulator accepts standard (sync negative) polarity video at a 0.7-2.5V peak to peak level from sources such as a TV camera, video tape recorder, TV demodulator or satellite receiver.

The modulator features a +55dBmV RF output level, and an IF SAW filtering for adjacent channel operation. All aeronautical channels are offset positive with a tolerance of ±5kHz as required by FCC 21006. All level controls are located on the front panel. The RF level control provides up to +55dBmV output. The video modulator control sets the depth of modulation for 87.5% over an input video level range from 0.7VP/p to 2.5VP/p. An audio modulation control permits adjustment for ±25kHz peak deviation of the aural carrier.

A: We have not done a comparison of the AVMATRIX HVS0402U 4-Channel HDMI Video Switcher and the Elvid VSW-4H-USB 4-Input HDMI Broadcast Video Switcher. From comparing specs, the two switchers appear to be close to identical with potential software/support differences from each of the companies.

A: We're afraid not. There is both Windows and Mac software to control this product. However Roland does not have an App that can be used with an iPad.

What an awesome kit. It directly under my 34" curved monitor so you dont even see it. Running it through the the S/SDIF cable from the mobo and its amazing sound. I have a very high end Polk 11.2 set up in my movie room and this thing on sound quality isn't far off that so very happy. 5

This is a nice compact, slim line sound bar with wireless bass system. We use this on a second TV screen in a smaller room so the size was an issue in our selection criterion. The sound coming from this system is excellent, with as much bass and you would like to dial in. The biggest issue with many sound/TV systems is getting the voices with just enough emphasis to hear them over the other parts of the sound track. This system does that job well. Inexpensive at the quality level of Polk, we are quite happy with our purchase. 5
