The CATV Channelized Audio/Video Modulator, Channel 25, from Blonder Tongue is an all-solid-state audio/video modulator that provides a modulated visual and aural RF carrier output on one specific CATV channel. The unit modulates the audio and video inputs and provides the requested RF CATV channel output for use in a CATV, MATV or SMATV system. The modulator accepts standard (sync negative) polarity video at a 0.7-2.5V peak to peak level from sources such as a TV camera, video tape recorder, TV demodulator or satellite receiver.

The modulator features a +55dBmV RF output level, and an IF SAW filtering for adjacent channel operation. All aeronautical channels are offset positive with a tolerance of ±5kHz as required by FCC 21006. All level controls are located on the front panel. The RF level control provides up to +55dBmV output. The video modulator control sets the depth of modulation for 87.5% over an input video level range from 0.7VP/p to 2.5VP/p. An audio modulation control permits adjustment for ±25kHz peak deviation of the aural carrier.

Q: 1. Is the similar Elvid switcher (which I bought) a B&H house brand, i.e., who is the actual manufacturer of this AVMATRIX unit?

A: We have not done a comparison of the AVMATRIX HVS0402U 4-Channel HDMI Video Switcher and the Elvid VSW-4H-USB 4-Input HDMI Broadcast Video Switcher. From comparing specs, the two switchers appear to be close to identical with potential software/support differences from each of the companies.

Q: 2. does it have 2 seperate audio programe monitoring?

A: You get simultaneous monitoring of up to four audio sources on four analog inputs with voice quality fidelity.

Q: 3. original

A: Yes Nikon EG-CP16 Nikon Audio/Video Cable is an original Nikon cable.

Q: 4. Can residential input coaxial cables (TV, weather station, etc) convert directly to RJ45/RJ11 connector for indoor weather station console? VideoEase CATV Balun II appears to do this. Thank you...

A: Yes, you are able to use your standard coax cable and convert the signal to RJ-45.

Q: 5. Which year produce this model?

A: Roland released this product in 2018.

Q: 6. Whats the meaning of surround output?and what is rec an line output used for?

A: The surround output on this amplifier sends power to a left, right, and center channel speaker. Record and line outputs are to bypass the amplifier and only send out signal.

Q: 7. Is that a standard micro USB connection on the end?

A: The USB connection is proprietary to Nikon COOLPIX cameras.

Q: 8. How do you download the pics to a computer with that kind of adaptor???

A: This adaptor is for hooking your camera up to a TV. To download pictures to your PC you need the Nikon UC-E6 USB cable.

Q: 9. This basically looks like the Elvid video switcher, what is the difference between this and the Elvid?

A: No differences between the switchers, other than the branding.

Q: 10. Are the inputs a mic or line? Can a microphone cable be plugged into this unit and be heard from the speakers? Thanks.

A: The Wohler VMQ4 4 Channel Audio Monitor is expecting a line level signal into its Phoenix input connections and would not power a microphone directly.
