Barber Shop Bags' Soap Hand Strap Camera Attachment is a direct manufacturer replacement part for the hand strap camera attachment that is included in each of the three models of Tight Contour Hand Straps. Keep this as a replacement or spare for the original attachment hardware. The attachment screws into the 1/4" x 20 tripod mount on the bottom of most camera bodies, and features a 360° free rotation to allow free movement without causing the attachment to loosen.

A: Yes.

Q: 6. With the peg in the bottom of the camera, how do you rest the camera on a table or the ground?

A: Depending on the size of the lens it will balance to the front and to one side. If the lens is small with little weight it usually balances to the side. Same for on the ground of course.

Q: 7. I'm used to having my camera secured by a strap and don't think I'd be comfortable without at least a hand strap for security. I imagine dropping the camera to the ground or into water if it's in my hand and not secured somehow. Are there hand straps compatible with this system?

A: I have generic hand straps on all my cameras. (Nikons). Hand straps don't interfere at all with this system. Great system, weight is carried on hip not shoulders or neck. Great for carrying two cameras, one in hand while using and one hanging on hip. Makes for quick swapping of cameras.

Q: 8. I have a Canon 60D with BG-E9 Battery Grip. Will the Spider Pro Hand Grip fit this configuration?

A: Should work fine. I'm using it with a Canon 7D with a battery grip.

Q: 9. How much does this weigh? When full, are the back pack straps comfortable? It doesn't look like they are padded. A few more pictures would be very helpful.

A: The black cordura and leather version is actually the lightest: 1.68 kg (camera satchel included). The back straps are fine, not padded but wide enough and in comfortable cotton.

A: In order to use the Barber Shop Razor Cut Camera Wrist Strap (Grained Brown Leather) with the Leica MD 262, you would need to use another ring.

I use this strap on my Nikon D500. It is a very high quality product and I trust it to hold my camera safely. You need to adjust it to your liking. I found that my hand is more flexible if I keep the strap on the loose side. Adjustment is very easy. No more neck strap! 5

Definitely one of the best hand straps out in the market. Whenever I use it with my camera, I don't feel it slip at all, so I am not afraid of accidentally dropping my camera. Easy to slip on and off. 5

I carry cameras with the newerst version of Carry Speed harness. My cameras have arca swiss-type plates, because I like to have access to a monopod. For hand grips, I first tried Fujifilm, an older 3-point version. It seemed pretty comfortable, but I found it a little bit 'floppy' as are most hand grips. (Fujifilm's 3rd point attaches not to the camera, but rather to 1 of its own 2 straps: it actually attaches to itself.) Fujifilm's 3-point requires attention to get my hand into it correctly. That is annoying. I took a chance on this SpiderPro. I find this grip firmly holds its position when not in use. I like that in this grip. I find it easy to engage my hand without having to look. Even though it is firm, it also can be adjusted to give me enough room so as to access the joy button on the back of my camera without restriction. This grip is the right one for me: I can access a camera hanging at my side without glancing, have firm control of the camera when in use, and yet there is enough flexibility to access the camera controls. 5
