After trying to slide the charge plate off, I finally had to use a flat blade jeweler's screwdriver to pry the plate up and release the latch. Tried it several times and had to pry the plate off? Is there something I'm missing here, a simple procedure to release the plate?

A: I checked my Watson Chargers; I have one each for the NP-W126 battery and the NP-95 battery. I my case, the plate for the 126 easily slides off pushing upwards away from the charging contacts. The plate for the 95 battery appears as if it would be removable using the same sliding motion, however, try as I might I cannot get it to budge and come free. As you might conclude from my first sentence to this reply, I find it just as easy and more convenient to just have two separate chargers (than to bother with changing plates). Hopes this helps.
