A: It's actually a very handy feature at times. I photograph professional sports, and at the end of say football games, coaches go out onto the field for the traditional handshake. Many times being able to raise your camera high above other photographers crowding (and still being able to frame the image via the Live View on the LCD screen) in is extremely useful to get the shot.There are also times when it comes in handy say when you're shooting on a tripod and need to raise the camera higher or lower than usual. Overall it's not something that I use every day, but it's one of those when you need it - you need it features.
