The remote powered 4K/UHD HDMI over HDBaseT Transmitter from Atlona is designed for HDMI transmission up to 328’ over category cable with Ethernet pass-through and RS-232 control. It transmits video signals up to 4K/UHD @ 60 Hz with 4:2:0 color subsampling, plus embedded multi-channel audio. The transmitter is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports EDID communication. It features a quarter-rack width metal enclosure for easy rack mounting, with rear panel I/O ports for uncluttered wire management. This device is externally powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), and can be used with Atlona switchers with PoE-equipped HDBaseT inputs, including the AT-UHD-CLSO-612ED, AT-UHD-CLSO-824, and AT-UHD-SW-5000ED.

The transmitter simplifies system design when powered by an Atlona switcher with HDBaseT inputs, reducing cost and complexity by eliminating the need for a power supply. It can also be paired with the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSE receiver and AT-HDVS-200-RX scaling receiver, both delivering PoE. The transmitter’s installation-friendly features include a rack-mountable form factor that allows four transmitters to share a single 1 RU rack tray, and a front mounted USB port for easy firmware updates.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to attach an IR extender? I plan to put this out of sight, but still want remote functionality.

A: Unfortunately we are not aware of an IR extender for this product.

Q: 2. What is the max length of HDMI cable that this device can support?

A: Signal degradation may occur with HDMI cables that are longer than 25 feet.

Q: 3. Does this pass HDMI CEC commands from the input to all outputs?

A: Not that we are aware of. It is not listed as supported in the spec sheet or in the user manual.

Q: 4. Max length of HDMI cable supported?

A: The manufacturer does not explicitly define this specification, but we would lean on the side of caution and keep the maximum length under 25 feet.

Q: 5. Does this support Atmos?

A: Yes, the Avenview 1x4 HDMI True 4K60 Splitter with EDID supports Dolby Atmos.

Q: 6. Is the length of 393' (4K) per receiver or the total for all four receivers combined?

A: The limit is 393 feet per receiver.

Q: 7. Would this work for a camera, specifically the Dvx200?

A: Yes, It would work with many camera models if you need to split the output. Please note that the StarTech ST122HD4KU 1x2 UHD 4K HDMI Splitter does require power and comes with a included usb power supply.

Q: 8. I want to use a portkeys bm5 and an atem mini pro with my bmpcc 6k. both need HDMI capabilities, will this splitter allow me to accomplish what I need?

A: In theory yes this should work. This takes a single HDMI input and splits it out to two. However you are not going to be able to control the Pocket 6K from the ATEM Switcher like you would with a direct connection.

Q: 9. I want to hook up 4 Xbox Ones to 1 large TV or projector. Will this work? Would the HDMI audio just combine between all Xboxes?

A: This is a switcher that allows you to connect 4 HDMI sources and select a single one for the output. The audio for the selected source is what you will here. It sounds like you are looking for a Multi viewer which is a product that takes in multi inputs and allows you to show them all on a single screen. https://bhpho.to/2R0BqiT

Q: 10. can I take 1 out put to TV and the other to a sound bar ?

A: The MuxLab 1x2 UHD 4K HDMI Splitter (B&H # MU100500) may be used with both a television and a sound bar simultaneously.
