Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can it be plugged into the Back-UPS Pro-1300 or Back-UPS Pro-1000S?

A: Yes, this APC Essential SurgeArrest 7-Outlet Surge Protector can be connected into the Back-UPS Pro-1300. However, it is not recommended and should be connected to the wall outlet directly.

Q: 2. Does the APC Essential SurgeArrest 3-Outlet Surge Protector with USB Charging have a "flat" or right-angle wall plug? I need a plug that will fit behind a piece of furniture.

A: This would be a straight connector that would protrude from the wall.

Q: 3. Do the individual outlets rotate? From the photo it looks like they have some range of angle

A: They're a little stiff, but yes, they do rotate.

Q: 4. Can it be used outdoors or is it strictly indoor?

A: • The APC Essential SurgeArrest 7-Outlet Surge Protector (120V, White/Gray) is intended for indoor use only. The internal components are not sealed from the environment.

A: Yes. This APC Essential SurgeArrest 7-Outlet Surge Protector (6', Black, 120V) would be made in China.

A: Unfortunately, no. APC Essential surge protectors only support an input voltage of 104 to 126V. The switch and internal components are only rated for 125V. I would suggest using a surge protector designed for the country its being used in. You could also just use a basic power strip (no surge protection or circuit breaker).

Q: 7. Where is the APC P7GB surge arrest made?

A: I'am not sure where they were made , but they work fine without any problems.

Q: 8. Is this a flat plug to the wall outlet?

I have owned previous APC Surge Arrestors for years and this is just an updated model with USB plugs so I bought it.
It arrived promptly from B&H and it was a snap to install.
You need a phillips screw driver to secure the APC and probably a flat blade screw driver to remove the outlet plate cover. But does it work as you dreamed, who knows? I also have whole house surge protection on my FPL meter so this is secondary protection.

It sits on the corner of my desk, beautiful and efficient. No more under the desk scrounging for plugs, strips and cords.

This is a small-footprint solution for a surge protector with three plugs, plus three USB ports. It works perfectly for me sitting on my desk.

If you looking for a small surge suppressor then this is the one for you it only has three AC plugs and only three USB plugs but it has a mobile cradle for when you're charging your phone you just sit it in the cradle and plug it in with a 5 or 3 inch USB cable which I have so I don't have USB cable wires all over my desk it's a perfect fit. The other two USB cables I have connected is a one and a half foot cable and a 3 ft cable so it's cable managed and it doesn't take up much space on the desk hence being small and not that many plugs if you want more plugs than buy one but put it on the floor because you don't want a bunch of AC plugs plugged into your desktop especially AC outlet. I purchase another surge suppressor that's just USBs and there's eight of those and on top it has a wireless mobile charger where you just lay the phone on top and it charges it. Again when I use that one I use short USB cables and it has a readout on it which tells you what's the voltage and amperage and how long to charge it also has a 3.0 USB for quick charging but that's another story and another store but this surge suppressor is what you want if you're looking for a small surge suppressor that you can put on your desk doesn't take up much room it's perfect for you I recommend it you won't be disappointed.
