Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I own a Sony 6300 and a couple of lenses. The sony 6300 and the A7 seems to use the same Sony E lens mount. Does it mean that my lenses would work fine on theAony A7 ? (I would be ok with some vignetting for exemple).

A: Your lenses will work but if they are cropped sensor lenses, you will only get about 40% resolution on the A7. The cropped lenses will not cover the entire sensor of the A7, thereby, only utilizing part of the sensor.

Q: 2. I pretty much made up my mind to get the A7II because of its smallishness and its feature set. Now the question is what lens....? I shoot mostly landscapes and buildings and would like to go with a 20-24 wide angle prime that allows for full manual control. A native full frame E mount would be best... Any input based on your experiences would be greatly appreciated..

A: I am a long time Canon shooter, but I recently purchased the A7II and think it is fantastic. I have the 24 to 70 and have found to perfect for landscape. I have not yet found a good book on the A7II, but found the rockynook book by Matsumoto and Roulard to be very good even though it is on the a7 and a7R. Most things are the same, with a few menu items moved around. The documentation with the camera is terrible, so you may need something else.

Q: 3. does it have touch screen ?

A: Hello. The Sony a7II does not have a touchscreen.

Q: 4. Does the camera have the ability to autofocus continually while recording video?

A: Yes, the A7 II features continuous autofocus during video recording.

Q: 5. Does the Sony Alpha a7 II come with any editing software?

A: Sony provides the Imaging Edge desktop suite of softwares (https://bit.ly/3exQxx9) on their website. It includes an image-retouching/editing software, called Image Edge Edit. It's available on both Windows and Mac, and supports all Sony DSLT and ILCE cameras. :)

Q: 6. while filming whit the Sony a7 II the stabilization system is silent or is making noise that is possibile to hear in the audio track?

A: Sorry, I don't shoot video so I have no idea.

Q: 7. Are there any cages that fit the a7ii?

A: What about a cage? Not just an L bracket

Q: 8. Hi, its new? I mean, have no use? Thanks!

A: This is new in a box not used or refurbished. All items on our site are new unless specifically marked as used, with a condition rating. You will also notice the "Used" tab highlighted at the top of our page.

Q: 9. Can you Record HD video HD video to external SSD like Samsung T5, if yes, what cables?

A: The A7-series of cameras does not record directly to SSD. You'll need an external recorder like the Ninja V to write it to an SSD. https://bhpho.to/3iTzzfo

Q: 10. How is this camera in low light?

A: Hi Kristy, The Sony a7II camera performs great in low light situations. -Anthony

Easy to handle, very compact camera and impresive quality.

It's 2022, and now this camera is considered old, but I'm glad it's still around as another option for photographers who do not need the blazing-fast 20 to 30fps speeds of the top gear models. It just keeps doing its job without a hitch. It may not be able to shoot in silent mode, but then it's not very noisy either. I would say that now, for what it can be used for, it would be an excellent art photographer's rig. It's affordable and can take just about any lens brand with the right adapter. Image quality is like Kodachrome, if you need to know. Jpegs are amazing if you like shooting in that format.

I have been a die hard Nikon shooter for years. On purchasing and using Sony gear I have become a Sony convert. I love this camera!!

Upgraded from m43. Though m43 is pretty good for my use I have used it for too many years. It's a new experience using the full frame. Hope it has a good durability.

Is a great cost value camera for my business. Very stable, sharp images and multiple shutting program options.

Mine has seen a lot of use and it has not failed me yet. It's very versatile. I can use a mountain of adapters to use almost any kind of lens as far back as the lenses for the Leica III and earlier. It's small and light, which helps when you are carrying two or more camera bodies a day. The only thing that is inconvenient is that it doesn't allow us to assign a C-button to turn the LCD screen on to take a quick look at the images you've just made.

the only downside is the shutter is a bit louder than what I thought it would be - I moved from a Nikon d5300 and the quality and weight difference is just amazing.
