A: It is compatible with the ILCE7M2 but keep in mind that it is a APSC lens and not a full frame lens.

A: There's a menu option to record raw or raw+JPEG; by default, it's JPEG only. If you have that turned on, then it's probably a matter of what software you're using to view things on your PC -- many image browsers ignore raws. Tools like RawTherapee can do what you want with the raws, and it and several others are free. Most tools for raw manipulation are based on the open-source dcraw, so if you look at the list of tools using dcraw from the dcraw website, you'll get a good feel for what tools are out there. Note also that the DRO built into the camera can even do a pretty good job of pulling details out without needing to do raw postprocessing, and for very extreme cases, there's also the in-camera multi-shot HDR which also bypasses raw.

So far I really like this camera. 3 dials for manual mode and plenty of buttons to customize. Image quality is great and it feels great in my hand. Good beginner camera! Highly recommend! 5

This is a well built camera that is easy to use. The AUTO mode does an excellent job of exposure control even under artificial lighting. Electronic view finder is also easy to adapt to. Would recommend this camera to any user that wants a top notch camera with plenty of user selected options. 5

This camera is a very good to get into the full frame photography. I think if pair this with a good lense than I would be an all-round good lense for any background in photography. I especially use the camera for wildlife photography. I do have to say it is a old camera and with the new A 6700 with its incredibull auto focus it is hard to say that it is the best or up there with the best cameras. It also doesn't have that fast of a continuous shooting mode but it is faster than my old camera which was a cannon Eos rebel T7. 5

The camera is great. All the functions work. The Metz flash works on manual. I am using 50 year old Nikon and Rollie three pin QBM lenses with adapters. Although the focusing is manual the images are excellent. The camera is worth the $$$. 5

This camera is amazing. Fits in your hand like a glove. I don't even use the strap. Took these picture of my dog yawning. This was not on rapid shot l just pressed the button 3 times. 5

I bought this camera last year to shoot a wedding, I needed a camera with a faster shutter speed than my panasonic and had better auto focus. Sure, the kit lens isn’t anything special but it did the trick. I don’t mind buying older gear, because it was popular at one point, and it probably still is. I continue to use my A7ii for stills with a much better lens, but even with the kit lens, I know I’m in good hands with this model. The size, weight - everything about it is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. 5
