A: Its is not perfect but its what Im using....my Samsung s6 with a Otter cover, I have shot maybe 100 videos since I got my Joby Gorrilla stand and Tight Pro mount, its not perfect , but it does work , I would say for minor jobs where if the phone fell you wouldn't permanently lose your phone. If my best friend asked me this question I would tell them to go ahead and buy your kit and use the phone with the case if thats what you want, as I do and wont take my phone out of the case and have never had to during film work with the PRO mount.
