When used in ideal conditions, MultiMax II is capable of producing and receiving a signal 5 miles away in Long Range mode while the older Plus III had a range of just 1600'

With 112 channels, the PocketWizard MultiMax II Transceiver enables you to trigger individual or groups of lights simultaneously or individually. This is critical for working in crowded venues or with multiple lighting set-ups.

You can program up to 4 working zones for remote control of flashes. This allows you the ability to wirelessly activate and deactivate your flashes, enabling you to remain in camera position without having to manually adjust lighting setups. This is ideal for using multiple lighting setups and managing remote cameras as needed.

With its patented Auto-Sensing Transceiver technology, the MultiMax II Transceiver may be set to transmit (Tx) or receive (Rx) independently if needed.

Using 3 PocketWizard radios utilizing the Auto-Sensing technology, the transceiver mounted to the camera can instantly receive a signal from an auxiliary transceiver, and then instantly convey the transmission to a remote flash.

When in High Speed Receive mode, this transceiver is capable of triggering cameras or flashes up to 14.5 fps.

The MultiMax II Transceiver is the perfect solution for remote camera triggering. The unique two-stage TEST button on the MultiMax II works just like the shutter release button on your camera. Press it halfway and your remote camera wakes up to meter and focus. Press TEST all the way to take your photo. When released, your remote camera will return to sleep mode normally: a real battery saver.

Clearly displayed on a 1" / 2.5cm backlit LCD, all of the channels, zones, and modes can be configured using a soft-touch keypad. The design of the transceiver also incorporates a side-view LCD for easier viewing.

This item is FCC compliant and can only be used with corresponding FCC compliant models. Using

Q: 9. will this work with the YN685 speed lights?

A: You should be able to use the flash in manual mode, up to X-sync, with your camera. You'll need a PocketWizard on the camera as a transmitter and a PocketWizard connected to the flash via the PC port. A PC to miniphone cable is included with the PlusX single or double packs.

Q: 10. I'd like to use this PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver; not on my Nikon D750 hot shoe; but plug in its sync cable and let the Nikon built-in flash commands my SB-900 & 800. My question is:Can my Sekonic L-358 (with RT-32 FCC) trigger the camera by this PocketWizrd Plus X?Or have you any advice with other PocketWizard to have the same function?

A: Sounds like you want to just remote trigger your camera via the L-358. Yes the pocket wizard can do that, however it won't do that when plugded into the x- synch. You will need a remote cable, with the cable you plug one end into the pocket wizard and the other into your camera's remote jack. Poclet wizard support is very good concerning remotes cables.

In studio and on location, I have never been let down by Pocket wizards. I have tried the cheap imitations but will never second guess myself again

These are the easiest way to trigger your flashes or camera. I was impressed with the simple way to use them. Of all of the Pocket wizards, the Plus X is the best. The twin pack is the way to go!

The PW X units work great. Multi-channel allows us to have more than 4 photographers all using radio triggers in the same location at one time. I've tried cheaper units and had problems with syncing and misfires. With the X units, we get reliable triggers and the 2-packs make it affordable for everyone on our staff. PocketWizard is the best way to go.

This is my fourth PlusX, as I've got three Canon 600EX-RT units, and the intended use is to facilitate off camera flash with any non-Canon camera, or older film camera. The unexpected surprise was that two of these and the correct cable work as a great remote trigger for a camera that doesn't have one otherwise, such as a EOS-1V or similar. Even for cameras that have a Wifi or infrared remote, this is a longer range and small replacement, easy to conceal after triggering the remote (fi you've got the 2 second timer activated) These things are great!
