Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it compatible with arriflex 435es advanced camera?

A: The ARRI Power Supply Light 24V will power any Arriflex 435 including the 435 ES Advanced.

Q: 2. Will this fit the Sony a7 IV?

A: Yes, the Negative Supply Two-Axis Hot-Shoe Bubble Level will go on the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 3. Comes with EURO plug?

A: It is configured for the USA/North America only. A European adapter is not included.

Q: 4. How is this powered may I ask please? Does this convert a mic terminated with a 4 pin to work with XLR? Will I need to phantom power afterwards?

A: The device requires 48V phantom power on the XLR side. I'm using it with a Zoom H4n, with phantom power enabled. I asked this same question to the audio-technical people, and they said that you need to send phantom power to the microphone through the AT8539 and that can come from either a recording device such as a mixer (the H4n, in my case) or an external phantom power supply, such as the AT8801. Hope this helps.

Q: 5. Does this work with Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6 G2?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 6. What camera cable do I need to connect this to the Arri Alexa LF?

A: Power supplies are connected with a cable (for example KC-20 or KC-29) to the ALEXA LF BAT connector. We recommend using the ARRI Power Supply Light 24V (K2.0034493) or the Power Supply NG 12/26 R (K2.47351.0) to power the ALEXA LF. However, the Power Supply NG 12/26 R is not available for sale anymore, due to discontinued parts of the supplier. Please note, that the AMIRA and ALEXA Power Supply Light (K2.0006876) is not suitable to power the ALEXA LF. While it works fine in low power demanding situations, it may not work in high power demanding settings. Do not use this power supply with the ALEXA LF.

Q: 7. I have some devices in my rack that require 9vdc - how can I power that with this?

A: The SANUS CAPT01 MultiVolt Power Supply is not intended for use with devices that require 9V DC power. The CAPT01 features seven 12V DC power connections that are always on, four thermostat-controlled 12V DC connections, five 12V DC lights-only connections, and four 5V USB ports. A separate port is the input for the included thermostat.

Q: 8. Would this work for a Remote Audio BDS system with a Sound Devices 664?

A: Sorry but BDS systems use NP1 batteries only thus they cannot be AC/DC powered. You can use a NP1 battery like this plus this kit.

Q: 9. I want to extend the 4 pin XLR. Will any 4 pin XLR extension work? I'm seeing differing information among 'Laird', 'Anton Bauer' and 'Bescor' cables.

A: The male/female connector ends need to be paid attention to, as there are configurations of female-to-female, male-to-male, and female-to-male; the two ends configured for 4-pin XLR and not 3-pin. There are also shielded XLR cables that protect it from being disrupted from outside variables. The XLR cable should also be labeled as an extension cable and not just a power cable.

Q: 10. Is the lens glass or acrylic?

A: The Backscatter M52 Underwater Wide-Angle Wet Lens uses glass lens elements.
