Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I need to insert a clock shot into the video, can I do that with this switcher?

A: If you wish to train a camera on a clock face, you can certainly pull up that camera and put that into your main view if you wish.

Q: 2. Are both HDMI outputs assignable? Or is one used for the multiviewer? I'd like to use one as the multiviewer and other HDMI output feed into a recording/streaming device.

A: The SE-1200MU has one assignable HDMI output and two assignable SDI outputs. The second HDMI output is for the multi-view only.

Q: 3. I would like to send a hdmi signal from my desktop computer to one of the SDI inputs. What would I use to do this? I tried a a SDI to HDMI converter with Power Supply Adapter, Audio Embedder that support HDMI 1.3, 3G/HD-SDI . It would not detect the computer HDMI signal. HELP!

A: We would suggest working with a HDMI to SDI solution with a scaler that would fix many of the issues with computer resolutions and framerates. https://bhpho.to/3wI6Hgj

Q: 4. where do you record the video?

A: The Datavideo SE-1200MU has SDI outputs that you can use with recording devices. The Atomos Samurai Blade is a nice option to record directly to a Solid State Drive. You can also look in to an H.264 encoder for both recording and streaming, such as the Datavideo NVS-25.

Q: 5. How loud is the SE-650 in db? I want to use it in conjunction with a podcasting setup, where every noise is a no-no. Some units have load fan noise.

A: The manufacturer was unable to provide an accurate db level for this product. Their recommendation was, if considering another product is an options, to possibly look into the SE-500MU - https://bhpho.to/3dpW5GG which they regard to be "whisper quiet"

Q: 6. Can you play full videos from any of the media store and control them from the mixer surface?

A: The Media-Store of the Ross Video Carbonite Black Solo 1 M/E Live Production Video Switcher can be used with pre-stored graphics and animations, it is not designed for full videos.

A: Yes, the Switchblade Systems LPU1 Switcher supports NDI/HX.

Q: 8. Does the power supply come included with this unit?

A: Yes, the power supply is included with this product.

Q: 9. Are there scalers on each input or does each input have to make a particular resolution and frame rate to work correctly?

A: This product has Six internal frame synchronizers enable mixing of HD and SD materials. You can assign those 6 frame syncs to the inputs of your choosing.

Q: 10. How is this product in comparison to For-A HVS-100

A: This switcher offers 6 SDI Inputs and 3 HDMI Inputs along with 5 SDI outputs and 1 HDMI output, it has an Integrated Control Surface, Supports up to 1080p60 Video has a Full ME with 5 Keys a 10-Source Multiviewer and Multiple Layouts. This is my second one of these straps. It attaches to one of the strap lungs on the camera. As I hold the camera, it is attached to the lung on the right side. The camera is very secure to the strap. This arrangement allows for the easy attachment of the camera to a a monopod/tripod for stable photography. One of the fears I have for any strap is slipping off the shoulder allowing the camera to fall. With the lung on the left available, I have attached a wrist strap. This allow for easier carry of the camera and helps remove the fear of strap failure. I have this arrangement for two of my cameras. It works!

This is a very nice strap, and works very well on a camera with a fold out view. I have a dual Op/Tech that is excellent, but the two connections to the camera, in my case a Canon R, one of the straps would interfere with the fold out screen. The Solo has a nice well padded shoulder area, and the quick disconnect clip has a lock. ++.

Excelling buy!

I haven't used the strap yet but seems fine maybe a bit short even at full extension.

The RucPac shoulder slide camera straps are the best I have ever encountered. They are extremely well-made and of high
quality. Also, they are quite comfortable, attractive, easy to attach to my cameras, adjustable for holding the camera comfortably on my hip and the slide capability is excellent for rapid access for picture-taking. After previously having another, more expensive, manufacturer's shoulder camera strap break, resulting in damage to my Canon 7D camera and my Canon 100-400 mm lens,
these RucPac straps give me security that I will not have to experience another strap failure with either my Canon or Sony cameras. I highly recommend RucPac slide camera
straps.

Very comfortable. Have used it numerous times. Almost seems like an extension of my body which is very helpful when in a crowded news event. Very sturdy, even using my heaviest lens which did not swing back and forth but rested right on my hip for easy use. Raises and lowers with no problem. Love the attached zipper pocket which is perfect for carrying an extra battery or memory card.
