One of the new features on the YDP-165 is a Layer mode which allows two different instruments such as an acoustic piano and a string ensemble to be played together for a more complex sound. The keyboard's Dual Mode lets the user play Upper 1 and Upper 2 tones layered across the entire keyboard.

The piano arrived in a very heavy box, you need two persons to lift it. The assembly is simple and does not take that long. Once assembled the piano looks great and meets all our expectations.
