This Parisian Nights-colored Large DSLR Core Unit from Shimoda Designs is part of an equipment insert that enhances the ability to organize the contents of a Shimoda Designs Explore Backpack. Designed to store camera, video, audio, or digital media equipment, it can accommodate up to two DSLR cameras and nine lenses, including a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens; or two DSLR cameras and five lenses, including a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, plus a medium-sized drone kit.

Equipment placed within this insert's non-abrasive interior can be arranged using its 11 padded, touch-tab dividers. When placed within a compatible Explore Backpack, the edges of the Large DSLR Core Unit can be folded downward to conserve space within the backpack or to create additional cushioning along the sides of the insert.

This Core Unit features a soft, protective close-cell foam construction and includes a Shimoda Designs Skin. A zippered cover with a top handle, the Skin protects the Core Unit from dust and allows it to be used independently from an Explore Backpack, whether on its own or within another larger bag or case.

I already have a medium and small core unit, but needed a bigger single space for long lenses. This thing is burly! The reinforced rim gives it the best structural integrity of any camera block Ive seen.
